These shoes, while adorable, are MONSTEROUSLY huge! A full inch longer than my foot, and I regularly wear a size 39 in other shoes (I'm an 8-8.5 typically in American sizes). Also the dark brown is MUCH darker than expected. Will try again if I can figure out what the appropriate size would be...

This is a handsome, comfortable shoe. Please note it does run a little wide, and the toe box is also wide, though I don't think enough to go down a size. Once I put on a thick sock, the shoe fit just right and is quite comfortable.

Shoes fit my narrow heels well, but there is not enough cushioning for my 60+ year-old feet. Husband thought they were dowdy, so back they went. Thanks to Zappos for easy returns and quick refunds.

I ordered these and then tried to cancel, thinking it was more of a want rather than a need. Too late, so when they came, I tried them on and they felt so good I kept them. As it turned out, I wore these to the Charlotte, NC Auto Fair. Walked 10,000 steps plus. Plenty of toe room and my feet felt great. Look great with jeans and sweater.

I have been looking forever not knowing what I wanted...a lightweight, but supportive leather sneaker good for lots of walking (many miles a day) with a durable sole and made in Europe! This is it. It fits perfectly, feels good and is soft without a humongous heel that makes it difficult to move as most have. I got the gray and it is not even slightly dowdy (as in another review), but if it is too big which it is not, it could be possibly. I don't know about the brown, looks more dowdy, the gray is subtle and good. It is seldom to never that I find a shoe I try on and then go yeah! Thank you Zappos.

Please know the shoe size that is shown as a "5-5.5" on the Zappos website, has a removable insole that is well over 9 inches (see photo of insert). I was so excited to order several pairs of size 5-5.5 Josef Seibel shoes from Zappos, as shoe stores never carry smaller sizes. But these "size 5-5.5" shoes are HUGE. ...these seem bigger than a regular size 36.

I can't tell you how much I love these shoes. Am returning only because I got the same style in blue although the red is a really pretty red.

These are cool looking shoes. Something different than a typical sneaker. The shoe is well made and is very comfortable. The shoe though is long in the toe box. I wear a 9 in us size. I ordered size 9/9.5 and the shoes feel good but there is at least 3/4” too long. I did keep them.

I wouldn't recommend these shoes for people with bunions. The material is reinforced with a seam right at the big-toe joint, so although the material is soft and supple, it feels like it would never stretch out right where my big-toe joint needs extra space.

These are beautifully made shoes and lined with leather so they will retain their shape for years. It is hard to find shoes nowadays that are so well made. It has taken years to find this quality lace-up oxford in oiled leather. The width of the toe box is just right as is the narrow heel. They are very attractive and not all clunky. However, I cannot wear them yet because of the lack of arch support. I have very high arches and need to wait for custom orthotics to be made in order to enjoy these shoes. For my feet, the shoes offer much less than moderate arch support.

They are a little loose on the foot, but a really nice shoe that stands out amongst boring shoes and fits well with my wardrobe.

This is the first time I tried this brand. I liked the shoe and it was comfortable to wear and lightweight and trim but I need some arch support. I tried using my arch support insert but then it slipped on my heel. I ended up buying a pair of Born.

Between a 38 and 39. Went with the bigger size. Nice shoes, perfect for travel.

These are adorable. Look a little upscale with jeans. Nice alternative to regular sneakers

I have a wide foot 8.5, ordered 9-9.5 and it fit perfectly. It's rare for me to put a shoe on out of the box and wear it all day with perfect comfort and joy. This was it. Josef Seibel has never let me down. A stylish, beautiful, comfortable shoe.

Great shoes! The red leather and stitching are wonderful. Very attractive, high quality material and workmanship. I ended up purchasing a pair of Josef Seibel Fergey booties because the felt more secure on my feet (and are cute!) but I did love these.

I liked the shoe; however the toe box seemed a bit narrow. I can always wear a medium width, but in these, I didn't feel like I had any wiggle room at all. Length felt a tad short as well.

The length seemed perfect (finger width above tallest toe) but too narrow in toe box. Felt it on both sides.

(OH! I LOVED THIS SHOE!) Except for the fact it didn't jive with my foot, it would have been perfect. I generally wear an 8.5 wide which means I usually end up with a 9, but that's another tale. So, I got the 8 to 8.5 in this shoe, and it was long enough, perhaps even a smidge longer than perfect. The problem was that with my wide-ish foot, this was just a little too snug for me just beyond the instep. When I put it on with no socks, it was just about right, but this isn't a sock-less shoe, unfortunately .....anyway, just so say that this is for a narrower foot, as I've seen in reviews before. All that said, these shoes are just great, I love the styling, that snappy and unique stitching, soft leather, oh....they're just gorgeous! As a matter of fact, I'm heartbroken that they don't work for me. But, if you have an average width or slightly more narrow, these are some fabulous shoes. Good luck!

Lovely leather, great color, beautiful shoes, just had a hard time finding a good fit for my troublesome right foot. Not quite wide enough in the toe box in one size, heel slipped in the next size up. Returned with regret.

The fit was not great for me. I do not think I would be able to walk in these shoes all day, which was my intended use.

Shoes do not appear to be a "pair". One shoe has been worn if only on carpet - creased across the top.

Style and softness good, however, having to return , for left heel seems to rub due to stiffness lip midway down inside the shoe.
