I wear a 5 or 51/2 in most shoes. This is the first pair I’ve bought in this brand. I ordered size 36. They fit well, not too narrow as some reviewers noted. The material is of good quality and they are very comfortable. The arch support could be a bit better, but I’ve done a lot of walking in them with no problem. I like the stability of the shoe, and the soles prevent slipping on wet surfaces. The style is attractive. Function and style is a win-win for me!

I loved this shoe.... it is very nicely made, really cute, and the materials are top notch. They are too narrow for me. Joseph Seibel is frequently too narrow for me, and they don't offer a wide. I wear a med in most shoes, but there are some that are just made narrower.... many European shoes are. Too bad, as I love Joseph Seibel shoes.

The 40 was a full size too large and the 39 a half size too small. This shoe is cute but unwearable!!!

The shoes are made for walking feet and do the job well. Granted, they look unisex but I happy to have a shoe I can count on for a long walk or for all day comfort. They used to come in a dark red but the tobacco color works just fine.

I really like this shoe. However, it is still too small. I originally ordered the shoe in the 40, but my toes hit the end of the shoe. I exchanged for a 41, and have the same issue. They are going back for the final time.

Not actually too short, more as if the box around top of the shoes was too flat....and I have narrow / flat feet.

These shoes appear at least a half size smaller than my previous Josef Seibel shoes, narrower too. On arrival the inner cover to the sole was missing on the right shoe. Though I really like the look of the shoes, am returning them.

I am returning them as my toes bump against the toe box. The toe box and the rest of the shoe material is uncomfortably hard. There is no forgiveness in the leather. I also find the style too masculine for my taste. I usually do well with European walking shoes but these have no give or softness.

I LIKE THEM - PARTICULARLY FOR THE SIZING: 8-8.5. THAT LITTLE EXTRA AMOUNT IS VALUABLE!

I tried on two similar Siebel shoes that were much too big around my heel and ankle. The Steffi 59 seem to run slightly shorter and definitely narrower than the other styles, so they were a good fit for me. They are nicely made and attractive. Zappos service and return policy is the best!

I love shoes , they light weight , very good quality , looks expensive . - but i have to return them . I have wide and high arch foot, i need little more wide at the area, where the laces start.

Fit and size are good, very comfy , nice footbed and sturdy too!

Comfortable and the leather is soft. Keeps my feet warm and I can use my insert for plantar fasciitis. Bought my usual 39 but had to jump up to a 40 and it was perfect.

It seemed slightly wider across the ball of foot but loved the style and workmanship.

Good looking shoes. Fits like a glove on my foot. Very comfortable right out of the box. Wearing them now. Color is a very dark navy.

Very nice shoe, however, the size 42 appears to be a full size short. I wear a 42 in the Josef Seibel Caron and had hoped these were the same last, but unfortunately not and I will have to send them back as they were too short..

Who doesn’t love Jos Siebel shoes? They cost more than I usually spend but they’re worth every cent. They are comfortable the very first time you wear them. I put them on and walked all day. Great shoes!

True to size and width. Pretty comfortable, but stiff. Not sure how my feet would feel with lots of walking while traveling. Unfortunate, the soles are way too noisy!

The ran 1/2 size short. (I also tried next size up, snd length was good.). Width is good. Pretty comfortable around the house, but not sure how they’d feel with a lot of travel walking. The killer fir me was how noisy they are—the soles really clack on the floor. Both sizes bring returned.

Attractive shoe and typical of the Josef Seibel brand are somewhat narrower in the toe bed. The bear cognac is definitely more of the bear (tan) color than the cognac color.

These are good looking shoes. I'm not a big sneaker wearer, so these are great in casual settings. My only negative is that I have very high arches, and they don't have enough arch support for me. Hopefully I can find an insert that works.

arch support was not enough and the left shoe looked different than the right one.

Footbed, one more comment: I said it was supportive but it is more that is it cushy padded. The actual shoe has support in the arch while the footbed cushions it. No bumps in footbed which quite flat.

Got in “ocean” color which looks black to me on photo and on me. I can wear a Naot 41 but this one is too small in a 41. Zappos doesn’t have a 42 in other colors either. Too bad because I like this shoe. Style and comfort wise. Wearing an orthotic. Included footbed seems supportive (did try the removable footbed). With a narrow foot, I would say that this shoe runs narrower than some (good for me).
