Great boot for a short walk. After that they come apart at the seams where the leather meets the rubber. With every step I take I hear air escaping and see bubbles at the seams. Terrible quality for the price. I'm going to have to explore other brands. Sad to see a classic quality brand like this go south.

Grew up wearing Sorels and I am certain, despite the abuse I imparted on them as a kid, I never had a Sorel boot come apart. Unfortunately, that is no longer true. I have less than 2 seasons on my Conquests and both boots are pulling apart at the seams. To give an idea of what defeats these boots, I wear them while hiking through snow filled woodlands. There are some sticks, rocks, etc. under the snow that I'm sure are tough on the boots; however, in the summer I wear typical trail running shows while working in those same woods and none have pulled apart or gotten any holes. If you can ignore the fact they are pulling apart, the boots are comfortable, offer nice stability for such a large boot, are average warmth for this style boot, and (prior to coming apart) they did a great job keeping my feet dry. It really is too bad they are so poorly constructed.

I have a really old pair of Sorel pac boots that are still wearable. I saw the Conquest & thought they were cool looking. I was outside shoveling snow & my left foot felt wet. When I came inside I noticed the rubber had separated from the leather upper. The rubber was falling apart with chunks missing. I have had them for some time, but They were not worn that much or hard. At least I have my old pair of felt lined boots to fall back on.

I work in a freezer storage unit that is -12 all the time and this boot is suppose to be rated at -40, but my feet still get cold. Also, if someone is reading this to get an idea if they should buy this boot, dont!
Like everyone has said previously, the leather pulls apart from the rubber. I've only owned my pair for 2 months and never have taken them out in the snow, only to work and they fell apart. Don't be like me and ignore the reviews just because you really want them.

I grew up on Sorels. Always long lasting and solid boots. I've now had two pairs of these Conquest's. Both had seems split between the rubber and leather. Neither made it through more than a season. In going through the reviews, on their site, for this products, there are many similar problems. Also, the cinch buckle on both pairs never worked so fit was always sloppy. Too bad as they were true to size and perfectly matched to our New England winters. I'm very disappointed and will not buy another pir of their boots.

I'm disappointed to see the boots come apart after using them about 10 times.
The seam between the tan top half and the black bottom half separated.
And with only a one year warranty on footwear, I'm stuck having to buy another pair of boots.

I had these boots for ~6-7 years, wore them when there is snow in tahoe on the weekends. The soles were still perfect, but the leather separated from the rubber in back where it was stitched. It looks like the rubber was a little thin at this point and ripped.
Much to my surprise, Sorel offered to replace the boots with ones of my choice, even though the 1 year warranty is up. I'll probably pick another model since the Conquest has had it's share of issues and received the lowest rating.
Too bad. Loved the boots. Very warm, comfortable and rugged.

i had two pair of these boots and the same thing happened to both. the rubber rotted. just a little over a year. great boots though comfortable warm ,style is great but the rubber sucks. you would think they would have changed the rubber by now but its been almost five years for me and i bet they made the ones they have now the same way. i will buy another pair only if i know they fixed the rubber problem. i read other people have the same problem also. do i recommend this product. not right now until the rubber problem is fix.

I used the boots during the winter so my feet could stay dry. I have horses and I wanted a waterproof / water resistant boot that would keep my feet warm and dry in the mix of snow, mud and water that puddles in our pasture. After the first winter, they started to leak and eventually, the boot pulled apart at the rubber lining near the tread and the leather. These boots are all show and no go if you are wearing them a lot. I think the below freezing weather might have something to do with the boots staying together as the rubber eventually dries up and cracks even with proper treatment of mink oil and whatnot.

I purchased my first pair of Sorels (Mens Conquest). I have to say they have not held up. My last pair of boots were with me for 12 years and I wore out the soles. After being tired of having wet feet, I went to the store, these boots caight my eye and had visions of warm happy feet.
I have worn these boots about 25 times only when it snows or while doing snow removal. We have had three storms storms this year and my feel have been cold and damp. I can't understand this?
Well yesterday we just got dumped on again and the temps are sub zero my feet are freezing. I looked down and I can see water water dripping out where the sole attaches to the boot not the leather..
I have bragged about this boot now I am embarrassed and really can't afford to dish out another $180.00 for another pair of boots right now. I really thought they would last much longer. I called customer service and the nice woman told me they were flexible but would not garantee anything. Now if I send them back out of waranty I'm still without. I thought i would just go buy some type of sllicone product to temporarily fix the Boot. Hopefully they will hold up throuhght the rest of the winter. We are inb the begging of Jan?
They fit perfect by the way and are the most comfortable shoes/ boots I own.

Overall good boot once it's on your foot. The cinching gator chord would make more sense to be located in the rear of the boot. The clips that hold the ankle strap are easily lost or broken. The boot pull on tab is to small and should be a loop.

I received this product as a gift about a year ago. The boot fits really nice and kept my feet warm and dry even in deep snow conditions.
Recently, my wife got her car stuck in the snow and I had to push her out. The car eventually gave way and got free, however, my boots were split where the leather part meets the rubber. The seams are not sewn into the rubber part, but are more "glued" together.
Overall, I judge that these boots are very good for light use (i.e., walking to your mailbox), but don't expect them to hold up to anything more than that.

Love the boot, keep the feet dry and warm in 20 degree weather and snow, not very water tight, when tempiture gets above the freezing temp. They are not made real tough, mine are falling apart at the seams, the leather from the rubber bottoms, both boots, wonder if they will replace them, purchased them last year this time?

I'VE WORN THESE BOOTS A TOTAL OF FIVE TIMES... THE RUBBER MIDSECTION OF THESE BOOTS HAS CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES (BOTH BOOTS). I HAVE GONE THROUGH 2 LARGE TUBES OF SHOE GOO TO TRY TO KEEP THESE BOOTS TOGETHER ... I AGREE 100 % WITH OTHER REVIEWS ... THESE ARE GREAT LOOKING BOOTS IF YOU PLAN TO WEAR THEM ONCE AND THEN THROW THEM AWAY.. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE.

The very first time I laced up these boots one of the hook eyelets broke. The second time I laced them up another hook eyelet broke. The boots were literally brand new! Clearly bad quality, I don't recommend. I just filed a warranty claim and it will take 2-4 weeks to have them repaired (once they give me the ok to ship them back). So basically winter will be over when they are returned to me.

The first time I put my foot into the shoe and tightened the laces the top rivet popped clean off. The boots fit just fine, but I don't trust the quality of these boots, and seeing as how Sorel has moved their factories overseas I don't recommend anyone else should either.

This is the second pair I've purchased. I used the first pair sparingly as I now only go to Canada a few times a year. The boots were always stored in room temperature and on shelf, not crammed in. The rubber cracked making them unusable and they had gone out of warranty. I contacted Sorel and they said this issue has since been addressed with a new sole compound. 2 years ago I bought a replacement pair. I have literally worn these boots 10 times total as COVID has kept me from going anyplace cold. I went to BC over the holidays and pulled out my boots and after a quick walk the same thing happened again these are expensive boots that otherwise look brand new but are now garbage this legendary brand has completely lost the thread by letting a product this bad out the door!

Suffered the same issues as many other customers. The material between the leather uppers and the sole has disintegrated. I say "material" because it's so thin I'm not sure if its rubber or vinyl. In addition, the leather upper is not sewn to the "material' below it, its cemented, and the lip it's cemented to is so narrow it is the weakest place on the boot. Bought these boots from a reputable retailer. They need to know about this so they can drop this pathetic ChiCom junk from inventory.

The day my husband and I got our boots was 12/02/2020 and it is now 01/03/2021. Within the 1 month time frame, my husband has had 3 eyelits/rivets come off from the boots, and the elastic portion has come undone. We gifted ourselves these boots for Christmas because Sorel's are expensive and now it appears he won't even get to use them for long. You'd think for the price we paid that we would be getting what we paid for such as boots with quality. Apparently not, additional quality assurance needs to occur on these boots because other reviewers are addressing flaws with the Conquest boots.
The only reason I gave the conquest boots a 1 star is because my husband mentioned the boots being comfortable and keeping his feet warm before his boots started falling apart. But how are the boots supposed to keep your feet warm if the boots are not useable.

I bought a pair the Conquest Boots yesterday. I laced them up today and one eyelet on each boot pulled out. Very comfortable, easy on and off, but unuseable. For the money I am very disappointed. Cannot recommend under any circumstances.

These boots are barely worn. I have have an older pair of sorrels that have lasted decades without an issue. When I bought these, I thought I was getting what I expected from Sorel. I didn't; they are terrible. When I was in the snow this morning, the entire rubber on the left boot came apart. When you spend the amount of money for a pair of sorels, you expect something much better than this. Sorel should really warrant these outside of any current one year warranty policy. Right now, its buyer beware.

Out of the box I've got 3 broken rivets on one boot. This is unacceptable and an example of terrible quality control. Cracks in at least 3, and who know how many others. Haven't even gotten the chance to wear them in the snot because the lacing system is compromised. That's half of the upper lacing system gone.

Was looking forward to trying out these new boots to shovel the driveway. Started to tighten the laces and poof the lacing hook snapped off. Ended up shoveling with a pair of trail shoes. Very disappointing.

These boots have been worn minimally, as you can see from the tread. Wore them today and both the left and right boots split around the base. The rubber cracked and is breaking off. There is no ability to repair and they have been worn less than five times. The only upside is that they were warm! But now, I have no boots for my Minnesota Christmas vacation. Highly unfortunate, as our family has purchased Sorels in the past however now will rethink our next purchase as there are many reputable boot companies out there now, with a desire for good customer service.
