Nice looking boot, and quality seems good as well. Unfortunately the shoe is very narrow, and the heel cup cuts into the back of my ankle like sharp steel. I have read that the shoe can be widened using a hair dryer, but I don’t know if that applies to the sharp heel cup. The calf width is nice and wide. These will go back as I can’t wear them as is, and I don’t want to risk customizing them if it doesn’t work.

These are just gorgeous! Unfortunately the calf was not nearly wide enough. I couldn’t get the boot zipped up! Sadly, I’m returning them.

I wear 8.5 with a 16 inch calf. I ordered 8.5 wide calf and the calf zipped but was very snug, but I'm sure it would have relaxed with wear. The shoe itself was extremely small, I could get my foot in, but it was painful, especially in the heel which felt like it was made of metal. I have no clue if a half size up would even do it and I'm scared that it would take a LOT to break these in. Unfortunate because they are beautiful

It is a beautiful boot but like other reviewers I found it to be very small. I ordered a half size up and it was still too small and it was a bit narrow. I don't know it anyone else had this problem, but when I was walking This is a beautiful boot, but as other reviewers have said it runs small. I don't know if other people had this problem but when I was standing or walking in the boot the height of the shaft seemed fine, but when I sat with them on, the top edge of the boot hit me right in the back of the knee which was very uncomfortable. I am 5' 7" and I have never had that happen before.

Style and leather beautiful. Strong hardware. Size was extremely narrow and firm. Both boots weren’t the same calf width even though it was a wide pair (I measured my calf vs the width of the leather to make sure the variable wasn’t me, the calf on left boot and angle were narrower)

Bed Stu is my favorite boot designer, hands down (Frye is the other). I have two other pair of Bed Stu and I love love love everything about them. Worth every penny. Glaye Wide Calf are not in any way what I was expecting from this manufacturer. First, the leather isn't nearly the same quality as my other Bed Stu boots...it's stiff, not supple, and while it doesn't look cheap exactly, it definitely doesn't look like the superior quality Bed Stu has a reputation for. These look like $150 boots, not $300+. Second, the fit. I normally wear a size 10. In Bed Stu, 10s are a little tight, but I can wear them comfortably all day. Glaye is a full size smaller. I ordered 11s and they fit in the foot. BUT. I ordered wide calf, because my other Bed Stu boots aren't wide calf and they're slightly tight. (I wear a size 10-12 jeans and have a 16" calf.) These boots are so wide that they didn't even touch anywhere on my calf! The good news is that if you have 17"-18" or larger calves, the zipper in the back unzips to allow a custom fit. That aspect of the boot is well thought out and well made. I'm returning Glaye Wide Calf, and hoping for more luck next time.

I did not received wide calf boots I own other pairs of bed stud wide calf that are even a little big in the calf but these did not go on at all.

Did not fit at all I don’t believe they were wide calf. I have another pair of wide calf that fit perfectly and are even big in the calf On me .. these I was sent had to be regular calf .

I ordered these boots because I have to have a 16" circumference for my calves. They are advertised as wide, right in the name of the boot. I was so excited to see them when I opened the box, as they are beautiful. I started to put one on and couldn't get the zipper to go past the bottom of my calf, so barely zipped up at all. I was so disappointed and had to return them. At least it's really easy to return through Zappos.

Believe these boots were mislabeled. Look and feel like a size 7 in foot bed and not a size 9.5. Could not even fit my foot in them at all. I usually wear a 9 and max to 9.5 on rare occasions. Width of calf seemed fine.
