Nice quality. My calf is just under 18. These just fit with no wiggle room . Not sure if I will return for extra wide calf or not(?) I'm afraid theyd be to wide but I want to tuck my jeans inside of these and it would be tight.

Shaft is designed to minimize the look of the wide calf. There is no weird stretchy extender as in some wide calf boots, they are 100% leather all the way around. Shaft is unlined, decreasing bulk and increasing breathability. Tan Rustic is a beautiful warm finish and not overly distressed looking. The perfect western funk look I wanted. True to size, wouldn't recommend sizing up as leather will stretch a bit. Worth every penny!

I love the look and quality of your tall boots but they dont fit me! I have tried multiple pairs. Too tight in the calves. I was so happy to see the wide calf versions come out on some styles. Great improvement. They fit my calves- but the foot bed is too narrow. I had to return again. I am not a large woman. 53 145 pounds. I have a very athletic build. Hoping you can improve on this BedStu.

Love the boot. Plenty of room around calf. I gave three stars because the leather at the top of right boot does not lie flat. Not something I would expect from this price point.

These boots are amazing and SO soft, and they even smell of good leather. I can never find boots that have a wide enough calf and these are perfect, well they better be for the price. The most I have ever paid for shoes and I don't regret it at all!

I'm usually a 7.5-8, so ordered an 8.5, based on reviews. They were so small, they crushed my toes and I could barely zip them up. So I exchanged them for a 9...and they were so big I was swimming in them (even with heavy socks). Really bummed about this! They're such beautiful boots, but the sizing is really inconsistent.

Ordered these boots in a size 9 because of everyones recommendation. I always wear size 8.5 in all boots that Ive purchased with no issues. These were just a little to big for my taste. When I walked in them w/light weight socks my heal kept rubbing up and down. That would bug me if I was to wear them long term. Im exchanging them for a size 8.5 which I think will be a better fit. As for the fit around the calf. So spot on. A true 18 inch. My only issue is they are not a true black but more like a grey/black. Im just stoked I FINALLY found a boot that goes around my calf that are stylish. Thank you bed stu for a job well done.

The boot is absolutely beautiful, but impossible to fit correctly. I'm a size 6-6.5. I like to buy boots bigger to wear thick socks in the winter. I started with the size 7. I had a lot of slippage in the heel, so I returned them. Also, it was more dark brown than black, which I didn't expect. I loved the look of the boot so much, I ordered a size 6.5. It was very hard to zip up and tight on the calves. Also the boots were two different heights. I returned them. Willing to give it another shot, I ordered a size 6 in the wide calf. Looked great on, was more black than brown this time, a little tight around the foot (couldn't wear thick socks), but the major problem was that the heel slipped. It was impossible to walk in these boots! I think it is a design flaw. Such a shame, because they are beautiful. Third time wasn't a charm. These were returned too.

Very stylish and sharp looking. However for the price, I felt the quality was lacking in the leather uppers. The soles were serious and would be great for midwestern winters but the uppers were super thin and not the best quality for the price.

I love the look of these boots, and appear to be well made. However, the stitching on the inside of one boot is in an awkward place and irritates the top of my foot. Make sure to try on both boots.

If you have a gymnast build (muscular calves) these will not fit! Standard calf is waaaaay toooo tight! I had a muffin top on my calves and they did not look good! haha Sent them back and got a different style... These are definitely made for very thin legs with little fat or muscle! But they are beautiful...

I love the color and style of these boots. I need a wide calf boot,but these were way to wide. My heel also lifted up from the boot when I stepped. These boots were way too loose.

I absolutely love these boots. I did order them in a half size bigger than what I normally wear. They seem to run a little tight around the foot. I can wear them all day at work and do tons of walking without any issues at all (and that's with two knee replacement surgeries). I just keep going back to BedStu's excellent quality.

This is a very stylish boot. Love the look, but the top circumference on this boot measures 18", not 16". Size 10. Returning, not sure if will order the standard calf..... Also, the leather at the top was folded and wrinkled due to box size.
