I had to add an arch support insole plus kept the original insole. The padding is hard without both of them. I could have ordered a size smaller, I wear a women's 13 and was told to order down 1.5 sizes so I ordered 11.5 definitely could have been A 10.5. I do like the looks of the hiker.

The sole is a little thinner than expected for a shoe of this style, but still okay for light yard work. I wear these on Saturdays and they are a versatile, light hiker and yard work shoe.

Pros: Comfortable right out of the box, stylish, lightweight, built of quality materials
Cons: The soles wear out long, long before the uppers
I call these my Hiking Slippers because they are so comfortable, but you wouldn't wear slippers for serious hiking. You will feel every stone. They are so flexible the toes can touch the laces. They have improved the arch support/insert design over my first pair of Quests. I recommend these boots for hikers who want to look good, but wont depend on their boots for safety or longevity.

On my feet a lot as a teacher. The provided insole is woefully devoid of any real cushioning. While the exterior of the shoe looks classy and attractive, and the tread is substantive, the cushioning, which the "gel" insole purported to be substantial, is to me, sub par.

These are big. Feels like I'm wearing cardboard boxes on my feet. Styling is nice but have to put inserts in to try to make up room and still big. Maybe a thick pair of socks would help. Keeping them for beat arounds. Ordered different boots for every day wear.
