Customer Reviews Adrianna Papell Petite Off the Shoulder Embroidered Bodice Evening Gown

I ordered a size 4 petite. In the picture of the dress, the model shows the dress hitting her right above the knee in the front and just above the floor in the back. At 5' 1" and 105 pounds, the dress hits me 2 inches below the knee and 4 inches of dress lay on the floor in the back. Obviously, the model is not a petite 5'4" or under. I really liked the style of the dress and wanted to wear it to my son's wedding. The lady who did the alterations was able to hem the back, but the front still hits me 2 inches below the knee. The dress runs slightly large.

this is a beautiful dress that I brought form our son's wedding this summer. The fabric and embroidery on the bodice is lovely. Unfortunately, I had to return it since it was too small and there wasn't a larger size available.

This dress is even more beautiful in person as the fabric is high end and very well made. Although I returned it. I ordered a petite size and it was too long, there is some kind of mistake with the petite cut. I was very disappointed.

This dress was bizarrely mis-proportioned. I have no idea what "petite" person they thought they were designing for. I am 5'1", 110 lbs. The 2p was HUGE in the skirt section, just too long in the bodice. What is depicted as an empire waist fell more around my belly button. The front of the skirt opened at my ankles, the back puddled up on the ground as though I'd wrapped a blanket around myself. The hip area of the skirt might have been comfortable if it hit at my hips, however the rounded area was a few inches below my natural curve, and thus all that extra fabric bunched and buckled. Basically I felt as if I were trying on a regular size 8 instead of a 2 petite. I even double checked the label to see if I'd been sent the wrong size. I should have paid more attention to the other reviews. This dress for petites is a complete fail.
