I’m so happy to add my 5 stars to this shoe! I ordered 7 pair of black booties from Zappos to try on for an upcoming cruise. (The UPS man actually laughed.) After foot surgery on the right foot and a serious injury on the left, plus emerging bunions and narrow ankles (I know, weird) I am very hard to fit. I wanted something very comfortable that would go with everything and zip off for security checks at the airport. I fully expected not to find it, but this beautiful bootie ticks every box! It even beat the 3 pair of Fryes in this bunch — usually my go-to brand for quality boots. These Picolinos fit my 8.5-9 feet like a glove, with soft, smooth leather and elegant stying. I particularly like the heel, slightly quirky, but that gives it style, and it’s just the right height. And that smooth zipper!! I got them yesterday and wore them around the house all afternoon just to be sure they were as fantastic as I thought... and they are!

These are stylish and comfortable.Theyu good around a skinny ankle (like mine) and have very soft leather. I've been having trouble finding a good fit on booties because the tops tend to be too wide or stiff, digging into the front of my ankle. But these feel soft enough to be broken in without too much effort.

This is the only 5-5-5 I've ever given an item on Zappos. The leather, the silhouette, the colour, the height of the heel, the ease of the zipper gliding, gliding, gliding . . . sigh. It was heavenly. It was R-I-G-H-T. I take a 41 and that felt perfect; my worry came in with adding a thin, wool sock for winter - which is when I would predominantly use this shoe. So, I would not say the shoe runs small, because it didn't. But, adding a sock, depending on its thickness, might make you want to size up. I have my eye on Pikolinos now. Definitely worth the investment.

This is my third order. I am a difficult fit. Usually I am between a 8 1/2 -9. These fit perfectly in 39M. They are the best bootie I have found. Stylish and comfortable. You won’t be disappointed!

I purchased these in Garnet and they are gorgeous!! Right out of the box, I wore them on a 45 minute walk and for the rest of the day... they felt great. My first time with Pikolinos and I will try this brand again. Very comfortable, sturdy heel, very sleek shape, and great color. So very pleased with these!!

I love the shoes. They are very comfortable and the leather quality is wonderful. However, the finish on the soles wears off very easily, especially on the back of the heal from driving. I am very disappointed in this aspect as the shoes are expensive and I would expect better. The manufacturer went to all the care to have such wonderful leather and support, but fell short on the finish, which is quite noticeable.

These are certainly nice looking boots, feel nice in the hand, and help my outfit look sharp. I purchased these boots November 15 2020 and sadly the sole on the heel of the boot has worn down so much because of how heavy the heel is causing it to slightly drop-down from my foot allowing it to touch the ground at an angle hence the angle of the wear. For the price of this boot, I was hoping the heel would not be so heavy as to cause it to drop-away from my foot to cause premature wear of the sole. I was going to purchase another set until I noticed a month ago how bad the sole has degraded since November. No thank you.

These boot/shoes are terrific. The quality of the leather even impressed my husband. The fit is perfect as I usually wear 39 European size. Comfortable to wear without the usual breakin period which was a plus. I wasn't sure about the color I purchased (Garnet) because other more common colors were sold out. Love the color, a very deep redish color with overtones of black and brown mingled in the shadowed area of the shoe for depth and style. But I can wear them with just about everything. Love.

I love these boots! They are beautiful and feel well made. I am usually a 7.5/8 and I ordered both the 38 and 39. The 38 felt too snug, especially if adding socks. The 39 is perhaps a touch big but I prefer to have extra toe room in shoes that I'm wearing all day long.

These boots are nice, but buyer beware. The soles feel like they are rubber and when you walk the heel is squishy and the heel wiggles around under your foot because the heel is tapered. Not sure if this happens for everyone, but it does for me. I wish I would have realized this before I decided to keep them and now it's too late to return them.

So far so good. I have been looking for black boots that I could wear instead of running shoes on a daily basis. I work from home, and I do get a little tired of wearing running shoes each day to work, but I could not find nice, casual closed toe shoes that didn't kill my feet. I wear a size 11, and the 42 was perfect. Lots of support and cushion. Heel was not too large, which is a common problem for me trying to find good black boots.

These booties are simply lovely, very well made, and top quality. Why did I send them back? After 2 steps, I realized they would simply KILL the front of my legs where the top of the boot hit. They just weren't for me. I sure hope they work better for you, since they are simply gorgeous.

Great style, color. Concerned with fit when I read the reviews. I wear a 10. I ordered a 41. Perfect! Wearing it with a lovely lacy dress to a wedding.

The size was good, I could wear medium thick socks in my usual shoe size. The zipper was the reason I returned these, though, it was very difficult to zip up and down.

I bought the garnet and it’s a beautiful color and a very comfortable pair of boots, which I wore with my tendinitis and other issues. Amazing! Thank you!

These boots fit perfectly. I have a Morton’s Neuroma on my left foot so was worried with the heel it might be aggravated. I wore the boots all day shopping and my feet felt great. No pain - no tiredness

Beautiful bootie, however will be returned as it is too large and the leather is too stiff on the front top and will rub my shin sore before it is broken in.

I love these shoes. The leather is soft and the heel height is perfect for standing all day at work. The zipper gets stuck sometimes, but it comes up when the teeth are aligned. They are very comfortable.

Liked these a lot but would have needed a larger size. Preferred another Pikolinos style so these were returned. Might reconsider them when/if they go on sale!

Beautiful boot. Expensive looking. Rich, beautiful leather. Padded and very comfortable. Zips on and off very easily. I usually wear an 8 and have a medium wide foot so I ordered the 39 and it fit perfectly. Best to order up unless you have a small, narrow foot. Gorgeous and comfortable right out of box..

These have a slender silhouette and therefore a slimmer fit. Probably not great for wide feet, but good for normal or narrow. Ankle is cut pretty wide to allow for movement. Good materials and workmanship. Versatile look can dress up or down, but slender shape works with slacks better than a chunky Chelsea boot would. Rubber sole adds a little bounce to my step, which is a nice contrast to an old pair of ankle boots with a hard leather sole.

Needed an ankle boot with a bit of a heel but not too much. These were perfect. I've never tried this brand, but am definitely going to look at other shoes in this brand. They are comfortable like a Born or Vionic shoe, stylish, and yet casual, but nice enough for the office.
