Super comfortable but returning because the very masculine look is not flattering on me. The upper is long and heavy looking.

Holy moly is this shoe small. I've worn a size 7 my whole life, somethings even a 6.5. I ordered a 7 and couldn't even get it on. I looked twice to make sure I was sent the right size. Returning as I have no idea what size to even order - 8, 9???? So far off regular sizing.

Sending these Samuel Hubbard Tailored Travelers back is hard but they are far too wide for my narrow (8.5N) foot, even with a thick sock. The craft, appearance, and feel of them is exceptional, though, and if Samuel Hubbard or Zappos lets me know when the first pair of Travelers comes off the production line, I'll buy them. Beautiful shoe! I want!

Beautiful shoe. I loved the shoe but must send back. Think I will try one half size smaller. I have two photos that shed some light on this shoe. I wear a size 9 and that is what I ordered. I compared it to a Mephisto Mobile size 9 that I wear. Different style of shoe, but still longer in the toe part and longer in the heel area--both are size 9. (Keep in mind the Mobile shoes are designed to be more accommodating in the toe box. The toe in the Hubbard shoe may not be a problem but the heel to me is just way too big "all around." Then I compared it to a Donald Pliner patent leather shoe I am trying to replace because my foot has become slightly bigger as I age (the 8.5 Pliner shoe is now a little small). In that comparison and in my view, the Hubbard shoe looks almost like 1.5 sizes larger (mind you, i.e., three "half sizes" larger) . For what it is worth, my foot leans toward being wide in the toe box and narrow in the heel so this heel is just going to slip and slip because the heel is just "too much." A little longer here, a little longer there adds up to a size difference. I cant really rate comfort but I can't submit a rewiew w/o that.bb

These shoes are so beautiful and comfortable. I am usually not a patent leather person, but they look great dressed up or casual plus I can wear them year round. I have several pairs of Samuel Hubbard shoes and they are the best! You can wear them all day without you feet hurting at the end of the day.

Very comfortable, well cushioned insoles, good quality, well made. My usual size 7 was a perfect fit.

Fantastic shoe - stylish, extremely comfortable, frankly a shoe I've been looking for for years. Perfect out-of-the-box fit for my relatively narrow foot. I did add my half-length "dress shoe" orthotics, which fit nicely, and now have a great looking shoe to wear with jeans, dress pants, casual skirts. Beautifully made. Not inexpensive, but a great basic which I'm sure I will wear for years to come.

This shoe is on the narrow side. I had on a wool sock of average thickness (not a dress sock, but not a hiking sock either) and had a challenge getting the sock in the shoe. Once I got my foot in there, it was snug but not uncomfortable and I thought (based on reviews) that it would stretch. But after a few minutes had passed I started to feel pressure points in my forefoot, so I knew this shoe was not for me. I usually wear brands with excellent arch support and took a chance on this shoe based on the quality and support others mentioned. Personally, I felt the quality was acceptable but not outstanding and the arch support was minimal (especially for someone with a high arch). If this is a style you love and your foot runs to the narrow this might be the one for you.
