They felt comfy initially when I put them on. There was a place on the side near my arch that was kind of rubbing up against the side of my foot. I've never really had that sensation in a shoe before. But I was willing to give them a try because they felt alright. Before putting the Skechers on, I was wearing my 2-year-old running shoes that have definitely seen better days. As soon as I put my Skechers on, I noticed a lack of cushion. I've never specifically had walking shoes so I thought I'd give them a whirl anyway. Within five minutes of my quick-paced morning walk, my feet started to hurt. It might sound odd but not only did the rest of my foot feel like it had no support, but I could definitely feel straining in my big toe. Like the shoes were doing more harm than good. The shoes were also really bad for my body mechanics, and my hips, back and shoulder got out of whack shortly thereafter. (Don't think I'm crazy, I've been in PT for the past year. I know how something as simple as shoes can mess with your body and give you pain elsewhere if they're throwing your body out of whack.) These shoes were definitely not worth the pain. Back to Zappos they go.

I already had another pair of Sketcher's and decided to get another.Too bad they don't come in white, so my second choice was the slate grey with the light pink. Fit is great right out of the box for the size 10, and as to the color, they have a definite light purple tinge to them, so be careful if you're looking for a true grey shade. They look great with jeans--light, dark, or black as well. Looking forward to wearing them!
