Sooo stoked about these. I need good warm winter boots and these are just that. When I first put them on I was disappointed in the comfort - they seemed stiff and tight in the toe, pinchy in the heel, loose in the ankle. I decided to stick it out though and after about three days of wear with thin socks they broke in and are now extraordinarily comfortable with a supportive heel and roomy toe and fitted ankle. This is the most I've ever spent on a pair of shoes, but I feel good to have something that will last me many years and is so comfortable and fits my style.

Frye boots with shearling. Need I say more? As always, top notch quality leather with added warmth. These are absolutely stunning! They ran true to size. I am a 7.5 or 8 with Frye, ordered both sizes and kept the 7.5. I can wear a thin to medium sock and still be comfortable. If you plan on wearing a super thick sock, maybe size up, but I found the half size bigger too roomy in the toe box and ankle area. These are truly a beautiful boot and great investment. Also, Zappos cannot possibly be more fantastic with the one day shipping and amazing return policy.

By far, my favorite pair of boots. They are as comfortable as Uggs but much better looking. Well worth the cost!

Such beautiful supple leather. Love this boots. I consistently wear a size 8 in Merrell shoes and boots but decided that since these are more cool weather boots, the 8.5 would be acceptable since i would probably be wearing thick socks with them and that was the only size left available at this price. I'd say it was a good pick...i might have been able to go with an 8 and still been comfortable but honestly am probably be glad in long run with getting something on the slightly larger size.

I have slightly larger than average calves at 14.75 inches. I bought the wide/extended calf version of this beautiful boot. The calf on this boot fits Like an average width - not what I would call wide calf boots. I understand Frye runs Narrow through the calf - but for a wide calf boot I expected better. These measured not quite 15 inches. I measured them and then had my cobbler measure them to verify and ask if they could be stretched enough for me to wear - answer was a maybe. So had to return. Very disappointed. I would have kept the boot if I had been able to zip them up.
