These are the most comfortable pointy-toed boots I've ever worn. I wore them all day right out of the box with no problem, which was not a complete surprise because I also bought the Reed bootie and found those to be very comfortable, too. The leather is very soft and the color (taupe) is as pictured. I wish Frye would make some boots with narrower shafts. These gap at the top a bit more than I'd like, but the leather is stiff enough so it did not scrunch down my leg. Overall I am very pleased with these boots.

I can’t say enough about these boots! I have one other pair of Frye boots that are classic and always in style so when looking for a black pair, I thought I’d try these. They did not disappoint! They are just as high quality as I expected from this brand...beautiful and comfortable from the first wear. The ONLY thing I would caution on is the width of the shaft. I am not a large person but the calves are a little tight. I can get them zipped but wouldn’t be able to wear thick boot socks. Hoping they stretch a bit with wear because I’m keeping them and wearing them a ton!

Great looking boots! Heal detail looks really nice. Very stylish and surprisingly comfortable. I usually wear size 8 and 8 fit me snug so I sized up 1/2 a size. I want to get them in black too ;)

This is a beautiful boot with classic lines and quality you'd expect from Frey. It feels true to size. I wear 7.5 to 8.5 depending on the shoe and the 8 was spot on. Great value when purchased on sale! This is a nice option if you want a dressy boot, but don't want the full height of a sculpted heel.

True to Frye’s quality and style with gorgeous leather, but the Calf is too wide by over 2 inches. They are comfortable, easy to walk and wear all day, but I have average calves and they are huge. Sad to have to return them, because I love everything else about them.

I own more than ten pairs of Frye shoes/boots and have been buying them for over 20 years. I love these boots for a somewhat dressy yet casual look, but my calves are swimming in them! I'm an average size (wear size 8, with toned legs). There's at least an inch between my clothed leg (even jeans) and the shaft top. I wonder if I got a wide leg by mistake but it doesn't seem so on the box, etc. I actually want to see if I can find a cobbler to fix, because I love them and they are comfy even with the slight heel.

I loved the style of this boot but I did not like the heel or the leather. I'm sad to learn these were made in China. Also, the heel was not made of actual wood and the leather quality was not what I expected for Frye and for an originally $400 boot. Lastly, the boot was slightly used. Therefore, I am returning. Not worth the $240 (they were on sale). So sorry!
