This boot fit size-wise, I have Frye Veronica Combats and I got both in size 10. There was a strange feeling in this Ella Moto in fit of the heel, I think because these have a bit higher heel than I am used to, but it wasn't only that. I don't know if I would have gotten used to that fit or not over time. I thought I would really like the look of these, but I didn't. The rosemary color was fine, but it turned out I didn't like the contrasting welt color in person, and the leather was almost too smooth and uniform looking. That probably sounds silly, but they just looked a little clownish on my feet, and I found I preferred the look and lower heel of the Veronica combat a lot better. Last, I noted these weren't made in Mexico like the VCs, not a deal breaker at all, just something I noted.

Tried SO many combat and moto boots on - these were the ones! Very comfortable, edgy, but not too much so. Lighter than Docs. Very well made.

Comfortable right out of the box. High quality leather and construction. Love them. Dress up or down.

These fit me really well although maybe would run narrow for some. I love that they are very lightweight and the Rosemary color is very cool and unique for a combat boot. A nice alternative to Docs.

This boot is SUPER cute. But I had to return it because it was so tight across the ball of my foot. I practically broke out into a sweat trying to get them on. Getting them off was no problem. I was sad these didn’t work for me. The style is really great.

I absolutely love the color and style of this boot. It looks great with my camo jacket BUT it isn't the most comfortable boot I own. I agree with one of the reviews about them being tight or snug across the top of the foot. I actually had bruises after wearing them the first day. They aren't everyday boots so no more than I wear them, I liked them too much to return.????

They look great and the leather is excellent but …. Quality control is poor. Bought in my regular size the length but they felt a bit short and the left shoe was very tight over the arch of the foot, something I normally do not encounter but the right shoe was fine. Exchanged for a half size up, this time the RIGHT shoe was tight over the arch. I was advised by Zappos customer service that they probably would not stretch and to return them.

Beyond a doubt, my favorite boot too ( and I have a closet full)! Yes, better than Frye Combat. Can dress up or down. I am looking for another pair. Please bring back for fall!

Fairly blistery at first, but I ordered them a size down from my sneaker size. Several months later I'm glad I did! Fit nicely, there's more wear than there should be around the tongue. Other than that I love them, especially the color.

I am so in love with these boots. I love them more than any other Frye boot that I own... and I have several. These are wayyyyyyyy more comfortable than the Veronica Combat in my opinion. They are so lightweight and I love the cushioned footbed. They have a bounce to them that makes it so comfortable to wear all day long. I really love the zipper on the side. Makes it so much easier and quicker to get on and off. I wish there was a dark brown and I would buy them in a second. I also love that the leather gets a worn look the more you wear them. These are so amazing. I actually get excited to get dressed so I can wear them!!

I usually wear a 9.5 or 10 in Frye boots so these were true to size. I ordered a 10 and they fit perfectly. I would say that these are definitely for narrow feet which I have. I ordered the Rosemary which looked like a brown in the picture. FYI, it’s not. It’s a subtle olive green which is why I had to return.

These are really cute and pretty comfortable. I'm knocking off one comfort star because the right boot is a lot more comfortable than the left, which is strange since I know for a fact my right foot is a tiny bit bigger than my left foot and in almost all the shoes I buy it's the right shoe that is usually a tighter fit.

I bought these boots about 1 month ago, and was out of town when I recieved them. I was so bummed I had to wait to get them from home, but it was worth the wait. They have incredible quality, and like other reiveiws have mentioned, they are comfortable from the first wear. In fact, I love them even more that there is some movement and wear showing up in the leather from walking. They look great with boyfriend jeans, crop flares, and even skinny jeans and leggings. I got the color Rosemary, and for those wondering, they look more brown with other true green items, and more green with true brown items. One of my go-to looks with them has been distressed jeans and a slouchy sweater. Also, the side zip is so nice for getting them on quick. I added a photo with my green backpack for a color comparison.

Beautiful leather. No need to size up - in fact they may run a tad large. When in doubt, size down 1/2. have to exchange mine for smaller size. The olive color is beautiful!!

I love these. Ordered the black and they are so comfy and so light and bouncy! I love the zipper so much! Makes them so easy to get on and off. The zipper is stiff and difficult to unzip but I'm hoping the more I use them the zipper will get easier to use. I also noticed that the sizing on the tongue says Men's 8 when they are Women's 8?? Weird....

I got these last week and they felt like they were already broken in! The leather is so soft on the ankle. I wore them for miles in NYC.

I have been looking for a pair of combat boots that would hold up and look great. I run through pairs quite often. The style and craftsmanship of these are better than any pair I've owned before. These are my new favorites by far. If you are on the fence about buying these, don't be.

Super long story about these boots that I will try to cut as short as possible. A few months ago I bought these at Macy's. They are really cute and were a fun red color - not candy apple red, not burgundy/purple red, just a nice pretty red color. I really needed black boots tho so I returned them and bought them in black from Zappos. The black was kinda boring so I decided to go back to the red. They were no longer available at Macy's so I purchased them from Zappos and unfortunately the pair I received is NOT a fun red :( I would say that it is brown with a red tone and that's just not fun. I went back to my Macy's order and saw that they were described as "dark red" but every other retailer that sells these boots (including Fryes itself) only has them in "redwood." Makes me wonder if Macy's had an exclusive color?? Or did they just have a rogue website content writer who looked at a pair of the boots and decided they needed to be called dark red? If you watch the video the Zappos rep explains that these boots are dipped dyed (or some such thing) leading to each pair being a slightly different color so maybe I just got lucky with a more red tone from Macy's and unlucky with a more brown tone from Zappos? To conclude - these are cute and comfortable boots that I am knocking down a rating tar and not keeping because they aren't red.

Purchased in Atlanta- greatest store by far! This is a great boot- easy to get in and out of due to the side zipper. Was comfy right out the box and word immediately. The leather is a little stiff- but breaking in well

Love the look of these boots, but they felt a half to a full size smaller than they should. I generally wear a 10 in Frye, and my Campus boots are a 9.5, and there was no way these would fit even after breaking in. I was also hoping for a more green color, as some reviews indicated. These definitely fell on the side of brown. Even so, the leather was lovely and shiny, and if they had fit I probably would have kept them.

I knew I would probably have to break these in but never thought that it would be such torture. The right boot felt great and fit like a glove. The left was tight and painful to the point I had to take it off several times through out the day at work just to get relief. Curiosity got the best of me and I started measuring the left against the right. The left was about a quarter of an in shorter in height at the toe box. No amount of adjusting the laces was going to help this.
