Oh my, these are beautiful boots. I am an 8 in a lace-up pair of Fryes, so I ordered the same...argh. I struggled a bit to get my right foot into the boot, and walked around a bit. The width was a little tight for my very slightly wide foot, not gonna lie. But I thought that maybe it wasn't SO tight that I couldn't eventually stretch them out by wearing them? So I went to put on the left boot...and...and...I couldn't even get it on! Double argh! I do NOT have high arches or high insteps or unusually-sized feet, the opening of the boot is just not generous at all. How I wish these had a zipper!!! or two!!! or more elastic!!! They are beautifully made, a gorgeous color (a little shiny, but I think that would eventually go away)...but I think ultimately made for a woman with a narrower foot than mine. Too bad, I really like the look of them. Lucky you if you are the Cinderella that fits them...

They are a dark army green in person. I have narrow feet and wear a 6.5 and they slide in perfectly. They aren’t stiff around the ankle. And I do hair so I stand for 8 hours a day and they are comfy. Will probably add insoles. Love.

I don't normally write reviews but had to for these boots! I always struggle finding black boots that don't make me look like I'm about to hop on a Harley. These are so soft, comfortable and are tough but not so tough looking! I halfway bought them expecting to just send them back but they are so worth it!! Was a little tough to get on at first but the ankle stretch is so nice once on, I imagine will just get easier with time. LOVE THEM.

Cute but definitely not true to size, could barely squeeze into my normal size, v sad it was the last pair available at this price. Quality also doesn't seem like normal Frye's either

First attempt I purchased my size but they were too tight, especially around the ankles, could barely get them through. I returned and purchased 1/2 size larger and the fit was almost perfect, a tiny bit too large but I use orthotic inserts so it worked out well. They quickly stretch and became soft and dreamy. I love these boots, they are very versatile and super comfortable.

These are so great, so comfy. Not a lot of support but I like to feel barefoot so it’s okay. The only problem is the soles wore down to literally nothing in about 1 year of wear :/ my feet also smelllll when I wear them too much but I love them nonetheless.

Not for me. Hard to describe why. Too clunky and made my feet look huge? Didn’t have that “what a great well made boot” my other Fryes have. I am looking for something that will also look good with tights and a skirt and these are not “the ones”. Going back.

GORGEOUS boots. When they first arrived they felt tight around my toes (I have wider forefoot), but I wore them in 1 hr increments around the house with thick socks and that helped. They get more comfortable every time I put them on. Classic!

Love Frye and these are a must have for the fall ?
