I wear and 8 and ordered an 8. 5’ 5” and weigh 118. My calf measures 14 1/2 inches. The boot fits. Tried them with skinny jeans and leggings and the shaft fit comfortably. I typically wear thin or no socks so I think a thick sock would be too snug. The color is rich. The leather is beautiful. I’m returning them because of the pointy toe. It’s a little too western for me, but overall, a very pretty boot. I ordered Friday afternoon and received them Monday morning! Thanks Zappos for your awesome shipping and return policies.

Fit pretty true to size- leather smells divine! Pretty boots- more pointy in the toe than I am used to but I am embracing the difference! I've worn them every day for the past week- very comfy!

Absolutely love these boots! I was looking for a new pair of boots and have always loved Frye. With the 30% discount, they’re much more attainable and I feel less guilty. First, I usually need widER calf these days, but regular wide calf is often too big. I love that this extended size is slightly bigger which is snug versus too roomy. Secondly, I love the sole, treads, AND arch support. The shoe part fits way better than any other boots. Additionally, the side zip is slimming and love the structured shoe/point. And regarding the comment about the height, they are a little taller than my other knee high boots, but at 5’4” it works :) I’m in love with these boots!

The boots are beautiful but they are not very comfortable and not much arch support if any. But the thing I don’t like the most is they stick out at the top. The circumference is bigger than what I want. I have to return them.

I usually have to size up half a size in anything with a pointed toe. That was the case for these. The finish looks durable and the zipper seems v high quality. The shaft seems more tailored than many pull on boots which makes a win for me!

My calf is 14 1/2 inches and these are a bit snug with skinny jeans, but they are leather and do stretch I will not be returning them. I ordered a half a size up for the toebox also. People said they sent them back because they were to pointy. Not me! These are such sexy boots and very classy. The aging stain on them was slightly different, but I am not concerned as I will be putting a weather treatment on them anyway. Quiet to walk in. These will look wonderful over boots, under jeans, and very cute with a skirt. Yummy leather smell.

Great looking boot! Has a Western look to it. The toes look pointed but are not tight. It seems they accomplish this by widening the toe bed and then narrowing it. If you want a pointed toe look but have a wide foot like me, this is a great option. The usual high quality of Frye boots. No liner, also typical of Frye.

I love the look of these boots. They were comfortable right from the first day. Would recommend them.

These boots are instantly comfortable in the foot-and I love the pointy toe! For me, the shaft was uncomfortably narrow around the calf (but perfect, looser fit down closer to the ankle). When I received them, I could barely zip them up. A simple visit to the boot repair person to get them stretched solved the calf problem and it was way cheaper than returning these for the extended size/wider calf ones. I am 5'9" and these end a couple inches below the knee, which in my mind is the perfect height. The boots have a decent amount of arch support (very important for me as I have a fused joint in one foot) and with the rubber on the heel the soles have decent traction--just maybe don't wear in snow/ice until you've scratched up the front of the soles a bit or added a little traction pad to front of sole. I used to wear tall old pull-on Fryes (some style they no longer make), which I adored but since my joint fusion can no longer flex my foot to get a tall pull-on boot on. I've been searching far and wide for the perfect combination of style, comfort, arch support, and traction in a zip-up boot and finally --these fit the bill!

These boots are gorgeous! Exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately the shaft of the boot is just too tall. I'm 5'2" and the shaft of this boot is 16". So as much as it pains me, i have to return them.

Liked The boots but each boot was different color and finish. Also need them wider. Would like them to fit better with skinny jeans.

The shaft was a bit too tall for sitting comfort and I just couldn't get pass the cowboy boot look.
