We love the style and ease of these shoes for our 2.5-yr old toddler. However, after he wore them for around 6 weeks, a hole developed near the zipper/toe area. Basically the zipper is ripping out of the shoe. We are super disappointed! We felt good about supporting this brand and didn’t mind paying the premium price but really expected the shoe to last longer. Zappos offered a partial refund, but I’m disappointed that the Billy company did not reply to me when I reached out about this issue.

This shoe is fantastic. We got this for my son who is non-ambulatory and has hypotonia. Putting on regular shoes is always a struggle because he curls his toes. With these shoes we can press his toes flat and make sure the feet are flat.

This is perfect for my son’s AFO/SMO braces. The shoe strings can be adjusted to make wider for more room and tie tighter for a secure fit.

These are great in concept, but they fell apart in a month and a half with light to medium use. They were not cheap and now they are completely unusable. The stitching at the toe came apart on both shoes and the zipper broke on one. Dry disappointed.

Our three year old has spastic diplegia and walks on his tiptoes. These shoes are wonderful because they are easy to put on - as his feet are wide - and he doesnt need his orthotics as much because they give him so much support. They are stylish and the grey ones were so adorable with his Thanksgiving outfit.

The insoles were easy to remove which was great for us so we could insert my daughters orthotics or her SMOs. I really like that my daughter (2.5 yrs old) is able to put them on and take them off herself. Downside: the zipper is pretty stiff and does get stuck sometimes, and I do wish the bottom of the shoe wasn't quite as thick. Overall, these have been the best shoes we have found for my daughters braces.

I previously left a rating speaking to a mix-up that Zappos had in shipping the wrong size (6T) in the right box (8T). I have to say, Zappos customer service totally made it better. They sent me the proper size (on the house), apologized, and were just super polite. Thank you so much, Zappos!

We love Billy footwear but when we received this pair 6 weeks ago, they didn’t seem as well made. Here we are 6 weeks later and the zipper has already separated from the shoe on one of the shoes on the front which is very disappointing because I love the gray color and hate to have to spend another $50. I was expecting these to last until he outgrew them.

I purchased these for my son to wear with his toe-walking SMO orthotics and they fit like a charm! We did have to pull the insert out but we are used to that with our braces.

My son (18 months) wears an AFO on one foot. I had heard such good things about this shoe and was excited to see the smaller toddler sizes (sz 6). His non-AFO foot is a bit bigger, but with the AFO his feet need the same size shoe. I was really bummed when the zipper in the non-AFO shoe broke about 2 weeks into wear. Zappos was great and replaced the pair. However, the non-AFO zipper in the second shoe broke too. So we went back to just wearing tennis shoes with his AFO. Maybe when he is bigger these will work better for him.

Loved these initially, but the zipper broke after less than two weeks of wear.
