They are extremely comfortable, but due to the composite toe, they are basically a half size too small. With the extra thickness of the composite toe, it pinches a bit on the outside. my recommendation is that if you buy these, and you should, get them a half size bigger.

I was so excited to get these shoes for work and they turned out to be the most uncomfortable shoes ever!! I’m so upset!! They we nice but not nice to wear all day for work!

As people have mentioned by a half a size larger so they fit right. These shoes fit great right out of the box, nice arch support. Toe box has plenty of room. I bought multiple pair of thorogood shoes over the years, they all wear fantastic and fit great. I don't think you could go wrong with these shoes. I work at Amazon and on my feet 11 hours a day, and these shoes are very comfortable.

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

The shoes are very stylish. They even seem to follow the recent style of not needing to untie the shoes. The back is made low which offers little ankle support, and allows the heal to lift out of the shoe with each step. The arch is showing, but it is so soft that it doesn't feel like anything is there. It also seems to be a bit narrow. I hope that it will break-in better than it feels now.

A little too tight at first but loosened up nicely to where they feel really comfortable.

I always order 1/2 size bigger and wide fit when I use Composite or steel toe. These fit great. I stand on my feet for about 11 hours a day in these shoes, no problem. I broke my first two pairs of work shoes within 2 months of use, these look like they can take the punishment, built very well.

I’m really happy with this purchase. After a period of time to get them broken in, they have become very comfortable. The waterproofing works really well and I can easily wear these in rain without them getting wet inside.

Too small

The fit and size were good but the bottom of my feet hurt. Maybe I still need to break them in before I wear them.

Everything about these shoes are amazing! Ignore the negative reviews and try them for yourself. They fit great in the size I normally wear. No complaints

I love my Thorogood Crosstrex Oxford Waterproof with Composite Toe so much, I chose them again! That's right! If it isn't broke, don't fix it! These shoes in my opinion, are the closest thing to Heaven on Earth! The size without any support or insert is true to size (11 EE). They hold up so amazingly well, I am still wearing my original pair working at Amazon. I do pick, pallet picking, counting, tote running, and pack. A very versatile shoe with monster tread for those nights when I am walking a marathon. I feel everyone is different, for me I just gave up on adding anything inside the shoe. I have had other brands before Thorogood. I even bought shoe stretchers for them. Not these shoes! As far as the weight goes, I never felt the difference! When that day comes to choose again... you already know!

Fit was perfect without any inserts. Roomy near the toes and heel where it counts (IMO). Beefy treads also a big plus.
