Shoes were comfortable right out of the box. I've had multiple pairs of Thorogoods shoes in the past so I figured I'd be good trying these. They did not disappoint. I noticed another reviewer claiming they felt a half size small, so I ordered 11 instead of my normal 10 and 1/2, they fit perfect. When I'm ready for my next pair of safety shoes I would definitely buy these again.

Shoes were too narrow around the front of the feet (around the widest part of the feet).

It's a bit tighter than expected. The synthetic material from which it is made is dense and rigid which may add longevity but certainly makes the boot difficult to break in. I selected mid-high tops and composite toe for safety and that paid off on my first day of work. I was concerned the "all terrain" sole would lack traction upon concrete floors but was pleasantly surprised they have excellent traction. I have worn them one week and they remain very stiff and lack padding in the toe causing pain in my toes.

These boots look and feel great on my feet. They are a bit on the heavier side, but not overwhelming. I wear them for an 11 hour work day and no issues with discomfort the entire time. They run hot, likely because they are waterproof.

I ordered a size with medium width thinking it will fit, but I had to return and get an extra width with the same size. The size number is true to the number. The shoe looks and built solid, it felt a little rigid on the first day and even after couple of days wearing it. Think it needs little extra time to break in the new shoe feel. Overall I feel comfortable and wish there was a little more arch support but this works for my needs.

Just replaced my last pair with a new pair of the exact same shoe, best fitting /feeling work shoe I have found to date, rugged, breathable, feel great all day, only complaint is the laces, out of the box I swap the paracord type laces with cotton they stay tied as the originals do not

Strongly recommend if you're a man getting the wide. Read the review well before mine which suggested it. They were correct (I wear 11.5)! I can't imagine how tight these would be if I had ordered normal (medium I think they call it). They are comfy on the foot out of the box, no need for inserts. Some breaking in will make them more comfy around the ankles. Laces are appropriate lengthed, not a million miles and not too short. Honestly, one of the best pair of work boots I've ever owned. They hug the feet but allow you to curl your toes, which to me is important, like an extension of my foot.

The shoes are a perfect fit, just a lil bulkier than expected. The main thing is they’re comfortable.

Nearly everything about the shoes feels great the only issue is that the soles that came with the shoes don't feel that great and cause some discomfort.

The fit is great. Considering they are steel toe boots they are very comfortable. I would recommend and buy again.

For the price, these provide good comfort for long distance trekking, and the waterproofing is pretty effective. It still hasn't worn out after a lot of use.

It fits ok, but the quality is so bad that my first day using it, the front start to peel off, and 6 more months the shoe sole is starting to detached.

Fit and size is excellent but for some reason even though I thought they would be great after 8-10 hours of amazon walking standing back and forth I got blisters in both “ring” toe fingers. Literally BOTH OF THEM and the same exact thing huge blisters. And this is why I’m returning them. TLDR; PS I am a size 8.5 and got a 9 and they fit perfectly. Everything about them was good except blisters I can’t explain why I got them in the SAME EXACT TOE from both feet.

Got a pair of these for work at Amazon. They were much needed to avoid any smashed toes from heavy pallet jacks or chewed up ankles from pallets. Tried them on, they run smaller then your normal size, so order a half size up and you should be golden. Wore them around the house to get the feel of them, arch support is really good, and for the most part they seem fairly solid....except....the ankle collar digs into your ankle bones. The material while supportive, is just too stiff and firm to leave on for prolonged use. I had meaner boots in the Army, and they tore my feet up less than these did. I went with the Thorogoods initially because the skechers brand I wanted was unavailable. I am now taking advantage of the Free Returns and Free Exchanges to hopeully right this issue.

Toe box was far too narrow to be considered wide width. Also my toes were to close to the end of the shoe. Recommend next size up and extra wide. Inserts were nice though and the shoe was comfortable.

For being a work boot they it remarkably comfortable

One shoe felt like there was a defect inside. The composite toe was uncomfortable.

These have been my favorite out of 4 other brands I've tried. On my feet 11 hrs+ a work day. Keeps my feet and ankles secure. The padding inside is perfect. I'm 205lb, 6'6' this is my second pair. You won't be disappointed. Stay safe everyone

I would highly, highly suggest to anyone knowing they are going to work a long hot summer to get themselves a pair of these "boots" (I say in quotations as they pass as mid-ankle hiking shoes as well, which they also PERFECT for those conditions). I purchased these because they do look, and in-fact, function very well for hikes. Just wear some good moisture wicking socks, wool or the dri-fit kind. Take your pick. The sizing is comfortably fitted to the form of my feet and soles provide adequate (and I mean this sincerely, a 10 out of 10) arch-support with the manufacturer's arch provided.

Shoe felt like it was made for my foot. The shoe is the longest pair I have ever had, so this purchase was well worth the buy!
