Disappointing! The comfort and leather quality is what I expect of Roan but the execution of the style falls short. There’s an almost masculine vibe to the shoe - yeah, that’s it, it looks like a man’s old house shoe. The vintage vibe that I believe they were going for isn’t subtle. The “patina” effect is overwrought. As another reviewer remarked, the footbed is indeed too wide for the style. It feels wrong to say something bad about Roan because I have a couple of styles from them that are utter perfection for my style/comfort/quality preference. However, in the interest of the next person’s time and money, I’d just suggest avoiding this shoe if you’re at all unsure about purchasing.

I wear a size 8 and my foot is normal width, but this shoe was too long and too wide so it was unflattering. It looked cheap.

I think these are marked a B width but they fit my wide foot. I'm a 7.5C and usually have to buy an 8 B when there are no wide options, so they're not too tight.

Already had this shoe and it was wearing out so was happy that I could still get them. They just work with everything, could use some more arch support, but with an office job they work perfect, would not want to wear them out for a day of shopping.

THESE SHOES ARE SO COMFORTABLE, I love them

for my feet these were perfect. I wear sz 9 and will onlny wear comfy shoes. I have wider feet with narrow heel and nobby toes. These were comfy with nice insole, they covered my ugly feet but were cool. and covered my heels which tend to dry out. Love love them

Most comfortable sandal I've ever owned, that can be dressed up or down.

I have a very wide feet and a narrow heel I also need my heel protected in the summer as they dry out and split the sandal fit the bill perfectly I love them so glad I made the purchase I’ll probably wear them out

Having read some of the other reviews, I wasn't so sure I'd like these, but I wanted a red flat sandal so I gave them a try. I was pleasantly surprised! They fit great and are comfortable, and I like the style. The color isn't a true red - it's very muted and almost faded looking. The box says they're hand-crafted and oiled, not just machine-made like most shoes, so I'm guessing this accounts for variations in color. But I like it nonetheless and am pleased that they seem to be high-quality shoes.

Pretty pink color and very comfortable

I originally ordered 7-1/2 because I wear an orthotic, but they were still very roomy. Then I ordered a 7, and it fits perfectly. They will stretch, too. Someone said they look like old men's shoes, but they are so comfortable and just what I needed for summer, outdoor wear. The colors are nice, too (I got red and blue/green). Not a "formal-looking" shoe, but something you could wear with shorts and skirts. I'm happy I got them.

fit is great. No breaking in period. soft leather. Happy with my purchase.

This shoe is dressy for a casual look with jeans, shorts or a cute summer dress. This shoe is so comfortable , I never had to break them in. This is my second pair as I bought another one in a natural tan color.

These shoes after the first wear were stretched out. No arch support and hurt my feet after walking only 1 block. Not worth the money or pain.

Should have heeded another reviewer’s warning that this looks like an old man’s slipper.
