I like leather for durability, but it is so heavy. This bag is durable, lightweight and so functional. I live it, and will be getting more Sherpani products!

I had this bag for two and a half years. I used it as a purse/diaper bag, work bag- teaching, travel bag. I miss this bag so much- it was lost in a move : ( It was so versatile; being a sling bag, crossbody and a backpack, as well as a tote. Everyone should have one. Bonus that the material is made from recycled plastic!!

Well constructed & designed travel backpack! Loads of secure pockets inside & out; handy crossbody strap, handles & padded backpack straps make it terrifically convertible plus it fits my carry-on handle. Its the mama bear of sizes - just right! I try to find a travel backpack that my husband would feel good about carrying as well - this checks that box. The security features are abundant including a chair lock so you can enjoy a meal without worrying! The 2 outside sleeves are perfect for our collapsible water bottles as well - couldnt be more impressed! Already sold to 2 other travelers!

Its a beautiful bag, lots of pockets, very sturdy. But-- the top zipper doesnt entirely close the bag. There is a gap of about an inch on each side of the zipper so if it rains, theres potential for water coming in. It does fit a 15 laptop but its close. And the zipper pushes up if you put the laptop in a case which means the gap is even worse. Again, its a well designed bag in other ways and I plan on keeping it. Im getting a Surface Pro soon so the bag will work nicely. But-- I am going to buy a waterproof case for it!

I loved how roomy this bag is and convenient to travel with, however after the second time using it the stitching on the handle is coming apart. Saddens me that now I have to sear...view morech for someone to restitch the handles.view less

This bag is great for work. I can fit my 12.9" iPad in the laptop sleeve, and all the other things I need inside. I bought it because I wanted a nice looking bag that would go quickly and easily between cross-body bag to back pack when moving from public transit to walking, and this fits the bill. I can leave the cross-body strap on and just tuck it in the back pocket when not in use. It doesn't hide completely, but it's good enough to keep it out of the way. It just fits a 16" MacBook, btw, though not in the laptop sleeve and wouldn't be room for much else. I don't use it for that, but it does fit. There are two reasons i gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. The biggest problem for me is that there's no cinch straps at the top of the shoulders when in back pack mode, which means the pack is too loose to be ergonomically correct. It can be tightened from the adjustable buckles at the bottom of the straps, but that takes longer and you have to stop walking to do it. If I tighten it up ahead, it's difficult to get on and off with a coat on. I guess this problem will be less in the warm weather. The other minor thing that's a little disappointing is that the top zipper is slightly open on the ends. Not a big deal as long as it doesn't rain, but it would nice it there was a flap over the top or something. Other than that, the quality is outstanding, and it managing to be well structured, never floppy or sloppy, while still being lightweight, which I love. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

I do a lot of errands by bike, and I wanted something that could carry the basics as well as cargo acquired on those trips, such as mail and small sundries. It also needed to be sleek and stylish enough to take into a restaurant or a store without looking like I lived out of it. This bag has great internal organization and good access to basics thanks to the exterior pockets. It is bulky as a crossbody bag, but I usually wear it as a backpack and appreciate how the tote handles complement the straps. The only change I would make is to add a sternum strap to keep the bag from shifting when it is loaded.

Love the features of this bag but extremely disappointed that it doesn’t fit over my suitcase handle which was one of the main reasons I bought it.
