I got this jacket for my husband for Christmas. He is very happy with it, saying the fit, quality, and level of warmth are exactly what he expected. He likes the hood and the how light it feels, even though it is well insulated.

The lining provides just enough warmth without bulky sweaters or fleeces. I wore it all through Patagonia for 18 days and never got wet or cold. I would definitely recommend it.

A Christmas gift for my husband. He loves it! He mostly wears a vest under coats so it is a little snug on the bottom because of that. I am returning to try the next size up.
Quality item and great price!

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
This jacket has an "athletic" fit... and I love it, even though I'm less of an athlete than I used to be. As others have noted, it is slightly tapered in the mid-section and roomier than most in the shoulders and chest... resulting in not only a more flattering profile than most other insulated jackets, but also in more freedom of movement that is often hard to find in jackets like this that are not made of stretch material.
I was looking to fill that gap between light rain jacket (heavy windbreaker) and a full-on winter parka. I have both of those ends covered with jackets from Arcteryx/The North Face/UnderArmour/Nike/others on the light end, and by an Arcteryx parka on the cold end.
I wanted a mid-weight, hooded jacket, with chest pockets... to cover the shoulder seasons on late-fall/early winter and late-winter/early-spring. Some would call this am urban/city jacket: highly functional, on trend, without looking like a technical/spring skiing jacket.
After trying 20+ jackets from Arcteryx, Helly Hansen, Kjus, and TNF, I finally got it down to the Arcteryx Therme Jacket (size L), the TNF Apex Elevation (size L), and the HH Insulated Dubliner (size XL).
Arcteryx Therme: + GoreTex, + 2 exterior chest pockets, + internal stretch cuffs, - price ($600), - puffy profile, - short length (front), - no two-way zipper, - hood seems sized to accommodate a helmet.
TNF Apex Elevation: + warmth, + 2 exterior chest pockets (no internal media pocket as Zappos description says), + nice length (30"), + price ($210), - warmth comes at the expense of a slightly puffy profile (also had to cinch the hem slightly to help in this regard), - no two-way zipper, - hood that borders on being too big for non-helmet wear, - no two-way zipper.
HH Insulated Dubliner: + flattering fit (see above comments, may want to size up), + freedom of movement, + great cuffs (elastic and snaps provide excellent customization and hold), + hood sized for non-helmet use, + nice length (30"), + price ($175), +/- the lightest of these options, - only one exterior chest pocket, - no two-way zipper.
Between the TNF and the HH, the TNF is the heavier of the two... which, depending on your needs, could be a + or a -. Expecting that the HH will give me the option of layering up/down depending on the temp, whereas the TNF sorta locks you into a colder weather (though not cold-cold) scenario.
My search is finally over, and this is a brilliant solution (for me).

The Dubliner Insulated Jacket is best described as a civilianized M-65 field jacket made of modern materials. I especially appreciated the sewn in Primaloft insulation. The fit is wide through the shoulders and deep through the chest yet is tailored to a semi-fitted lower torso. I wear an 18.5-inch neck 37-inch sleeve dress shirt and this jacket is made for me. This in contrast to brands like TNF that have skinny shoulders and wide waist lines or the Adidas Outdoor jackets featuring an "athletic" fit which run a size small. My one critique is I'm not sure if one velcro attachment is sufficient to contain the hood in its tunnel. Perhaps a few more attachments would be superior. Be advised the delivery was slower than normal due to the circumstances but arrived before the estimated date. Be safe.

I bought this for my husband who is relatively tall and slim (5'11 and 130 pounds). The small was a strange fit. It had super wide shoulders and a very narrow/tapered bottom. Also the arms were quite short. It seemed to be made for a short bodybuilder. We returned it.

Per sizing information from the Helly Hansen website, I was recommended to order an XXL. This proved to be an oversized fit and due to the jacket’s insulated lining, a little too puffy for my liking.
