Perfect boots for a nine-year-old boy for stopping in the mud puddles and playing in muddy fields. I feel like they were true to size he normally wears a 5 1/2 shoe I got him a six and they were slightly big which is perfect

My son LOVES these boots! He’s in Forest School 2nd grade so outside almost all day everyday in the woods. These are perfect! Plus a little taller so when he decides he needs to go in the stream his feet stay dry!

These are way cuter in person. This seems to be a very nicely made boot. I could see these easily being a quality upcycle once outgrown. I really like how flexible they are. I can see the possibility of slipping as address in other peoples reviews. I do think no matter the shoe slipping can be a risk in wet weather. The tread is shallow but it is nice for not holding lots of muck. I will change my review at any point they become problematic. I did return this pair since I ordered two different sizes. From the bog chart they advised to order the 11 but if I kept this pair I would be out buying a new pair next month ? As for sizing my son wears Plae shoes mostly. He is an 11 in them but measured at a 10.5 on the bog chart. His toes were at the very end of the 11 bog boot. We kept the 12. As for width... they are very roomy. My child does not have a wide foot but I do not see a child with a wide foot having a struggle. We could easily put a very thick pair of socks on or two sets and still fit on the width side.
