I have a couple pair of Aetrex wedges that I love. They have great arch support. This shoe does not have the same support and seemed about a half size too big. Also, it rubbed the top of my ankle on the front - leaving a gap in the back. For me, it just didn't fit right. I have Plantar Fasciitis and have invested a small fortune in shoes. If it doesn't feel good, it gets returned. I ended up with a very similar style in Vionic, and they seem to be much more comfortable.

This purchase was my second pair of Aetrex. I found the boots to be true to size. I previously ordered 1/2 size up because I wear socks with boots, but had to return for my normal size 8 (or size 38). They are soft, easy to get on, and classy looking. I am very happy with my purchase. I also purchased a pair of "thin" Aetrex insoles (from the Aetrex site...I could not find the thin ones on Zappos) to use in some of my flats and I highly recommend them.

These run slightly large, but not quite 1/2 size large. They feel better with an insole (which I usually have to add for my finicky feet). If you're between sizes, order your smaller size unless you plan to wear thick socks and insoles. The color I've been looking for is a true burgundy, which these are not. In most indoor light the "Wine" color looks dark brown, but in sunlight it looks kind of purplish. The nubuck texture is nice. I'm keeping them because they are a great everyday ankle boot. I'm sure I'll get a lot of wear out of them through the winter.

I've purchased a couple different Aetrex sandals over the past couple years because I love their arch support. I saw these low-rise boots and decided to give them a try! I absolutely love them. They are extremely comfortable to walk in, the heel is extremely soft, and the fit is great. I actually decided to go up a half size because of the tapered toe, and I'm glad I did for the extra room (one of my feet is just a bit larger than the other), even though I don't have any doubt I would have fit in my normal size. I'm seriously considering ordering another pair in another color. I also received a lot of compliments on the look of these boots.

I really love these shoes. I'm usually caught between an 8.5 and 9, but the 8.5 was very comfortable. So if you're in doubt, order a half size down. I ordered the Whiskey, which is slightly lighter than pictured, but it's still a lovely, rich brown. Don't understand an earlier review that said the leather looked cheap. My only issue with the shoe is that it sits high, right below the ankle and rubs on the outside of my left foot. But as I wear them with a little padding on that side, they seem to be relaxing enough so that the rubbing is less and less. Definitely a great casual bootie!

Cute boots, but just too narrow. Unfortunately they come in a wide width, so will have to look for another brand.

Really comfortable bootie! Wore fresh out of the box all day and no blisters or issues. Highly recommended!

Better insole than most ankle boots - some arch support and cushioning. Nice quality, but I did not find them very comfortable.

These booties were very appealing with their simple, versatile style, color choice and a functional heel height. They seemed a half size too long but the main issue was the seam on the outside of the foot rubbed uncomfortably on both boots. Too bad - really was looking forward to wearing these. The footbed seemed very comfortable as that's what Aetrex is known for. Alas, had to return them....

If you have a high instep, these are not for you. I absolutely love the style of the shoe, but my high instep made it difficult to get the shoe on. Also, the sides of the shoe rub on my ankle bones

I desperately wanted to love these. I have a pair of Aetrex sandals that are amazing on my painful feet. I typically wear a 39, but I ordered both 38 and 39, because I think my sandals were a 38. I fit into both pairs, but wrenched my ankle a little maneuvering into the 38's. If your feet are wide, you'd have a hard time getting them on. My feet are medium to wide, and I need a large toe box. The 38's were cuter and fit reasonably. The 39's had more room but not too much, and I tried them with a ball of foot cushion. The were maybe ok, but not as comfortable as I need, and my foot kept sliding forward, even with the cushion. Arch support was good. My son thought they were hideous, and it may be because they seemed long on my foot and wide at the ankle in the 39's. They were not quite right for me and definitely not as instantly comfortable as the cork sandals or a pair of Born booties I tried. I think the leather is too stiff and the foot sliding needs some type of remedy.

I love the style but had to return it because it did not have enough arch support for me. Also, the leather is really tough so the shoes were very stiff. Over time, the leather will probably soften. But in the meantime, they will hurt my feet, so not worth for me to keep. This style would have looked great with leggings, jeans, etc. If you have lower back issues like me, I cannot recommend this.

This is a beautiful boot. I had to size down for my foot not to swim in. However, my outer ankle bone would hit directly on top of the boot. Very painful, and there is no way of fixing that. The arch support wasn’t awesome, just okay.

Didn’t fit well— top of booties hit my ankle bone with every step I took. Wore them around my house and knew right away they would cause blisters and cut into my ankle. Super cute shoe but sadly, must return.

The color is absolutely not even close to what the picture looks like. It is not a rich brown it is very light brown with a yellow hue. I would never wear this color brown therefore I am returning them. I also have the black pair and absolutely love the style, size, fit and comfort. I can wear them all day long and my feet never hurt.

The shoe was very attractive but was too wide on my foot! Not for narrow feet or heels.

The brown color was very washed out looking in comparison to the pic. Bootie looked like cheap imitation imitation leather, lol. Returned.

Not comfortable for me! Even with the zipper unzipped, I had to force my foot down into the shoe but, once on, it was too loose all over. Also, the top of the shoe rubs uncomfortably on my knobby ankles.
