These boots have a nice, trim profile and look very well made, which they should be for the price. I have only worn them in the house so far, and I love the fact that they don't gap and are not loose in the ankle. If you are a medium or big-boned person, maybe the wide option would be needed. I am smaller and the stylish boots/booties I like have not fit well in the calf and ankle until I got these Cob Hill Amalie boots. However, wish they had a bit more room in the toe box. They'll be fine with thinner socks or stockings, and I find that the suede-type leathers stretch a bit with wear so I am keeping these. They really look great, the pleats in the calf are far more subtle than they appear in the photo! Zappos folks, I suggest you have a "roomy toe box" category in your boot selection--so many other women note this as an issue!

These boots are really cute, even better in person. But they feel a little narrow in the toe box, and the circumference at the top is very small. I could zip them up, but there’s no way I would be able to tuck in leggings or jeans. Really bummed because they are exactly the look I wanted.

These boots look great tucked or untucked with jeans and leggings. It was difficult to find a wide boot that is feminine enough to wear with skirts. Even with a painful bunion, these boots are comfortable. My new faves!

Soft and comfortable leather, but was a bit too narrow especially for a wide.

I wear a 9.5 Zappos did not have this size so I ordered a 10 since some of the reviews said they ran small. They DO NOT. The 10 was too big so I had to return. They are small around the calf but was good for me since I have thin legs.

This is a very comfortable, versatile basic boot. I have worn these to work and out and about on the weekends and they go with everything. I like the waterproof feature -- I probably wouldn't wear them in a downpour, but I feel more confident to wear them for outdoor activities. A couple size quirks: (1) The footbed has a long-and-narrow shape -- more true to size in the length, but narrow in width. I am a true size 7 with a normal width, but I sized up to a 7.5 based on other reviews. The additional half-size made these fit in the width, but they're a tad long beyond my toes as a result. I'm OK with this because I wear thicker socks in the winter, but just something to keep in mind. If you have wider feet, this boot probably isn't for you. (2) This boot will work well for people who have average-to-thinner calves, but probably less so if you're very curvy there. I have narrow calves, and it can be hard to find boots that don't gape around the legs. By cinching the buckle on the top gusset to the smaller of the two options, these fit me well over skinny jeans. Overall recommend if you're looking for a comfortable, flat, mid-calf boot.

These boots are great. I like that the sole is thick enough that they can power through slush and puddles, but not so clunky that they look like serious winter boots. They're well-constructed (you get what you pay for!), and they're quite warm, which is great for my always-cold toes. They are a bit more snug around the calf than my previous slouchy boots, but I'm able to fit my pant legs into them without issue. 10/10 would buy again.

They were much longer than I expected (I ordered an 8.5W), but I wouldn't have wanted to go down a size because then it would have been too narrow. Overall, they're pretty comfortable, although I might need to add inserts to them for extra support if I walk in them a lot. So far they've been exactly what I've been looking for -- a waterproof boot that can deal with modest winter (they have a bit of lining so they're warm down to 30F, probably 20 or 25F with warm socks, and so far they've proven to be waterproof when I've walked through some puddles of slush), and look good enough to wear to a casual office and/or with a skirt. I just wish they had an even wider option for people like me with ridiculously wide feet or bunions, so I could end up wearing the proper length. Maybe it'll be useful to have that extra room at the toes, though, for a thicker sock.

I wasn't even going to bother trying on, as I could tell just by looking at them, that I didn't care for the looks of them. But then thought I might as well post my 2 cents about them, so it might help others. One of the reasons I ordered them, was they came in Wide, but if this is wide, I'd hate to feel what M feels like. Not much arch support to speak of, and the colors of the suede main part and the straps, dont look that good together. I also dont like the feel of the lining.

Love these boots! Needed a flat boot that was stylish and these fit the bill. I also have a narrow heel and leg and these look and feel fabulous!

The style is awesome, the workmanship is good and with a narrow heel and wider at toes, these were perfect for me. Only problem I had was the zipper side seemed to buckle inwards and rub the top of my ankle bone. I returned and got another pair that worked well. Very happy with purchase.

Love the look of these mid-calf boots! Very comfortable and casual-looking but still fashionable. I will say that the color of the actual boot is more grayish-brown with the leather strap detail being a more true brown color. I like the contrast, though.

From other reviews I noted that the shoe box might be a little tight, and for a winter boot I wear thick socks with it, so I ordered a 1/2 size up (from my normal 6.5 to 7). That was a good decision because the 7 was a comfortable fit at the toe and I think the 6.5 would have been too snug. The thicker socks I wear keeps my feet secure in the shoe. The size of the shank around the calf is very generous for me! I will even be able to fit leg warmers in if I want to. I love the buckles detail. They are waterproof, but not overly heavy or clunky.
