I hadn't planned on buying new sunglasses, however the demise of my Pokowai Arch's (don't ask) necessitated a new pair. This times I thought I change to aviator style and settled on the Dove Grey Shallows due to the color of the frame, the Blue Hawai'i lens and the size of these glasses when compared to the size of other Maui Jim aviators, specifically the Mavericks. I'm happy to report these glasses are perfect for me. The size is good so they do a great job of blocking the sun, they're very light in weight so they don't slip down my nose, and the frame fits my head well. I don't think I could've made a better choice in aviators. A note about the Maui Brilliant lenses: compared to my Pokowai Arch glasses with the Blue Hawai'i lenses, these are much darker and, for me, perform better in bright sunlight. As advertised, I believe they are sharper in detail, too. Absolutely love these sunglasses and other Maui Jim's I've owned.

There glasses are super cute, fit well and are light in weight. I ended up retuning because I already have the Mavericks and the style is very similar with a more defined frame.

I LOVE my maui Jim! It's so light weight and it stays on my face. As soon as it arrived, I thought it was a bit big but now I'm totally used to it and can't take it off. The quality of the lenses is amazing. Also, I love the foldable box. Overall very happy with my purchase. I'm converted now.

I can't believe how good these are! They are the best sunglasses that I have ever owned. I keep getting compliments on them as well. Even though they were expensive, they were worth it! The ultra-light titanium frames seal the deal. I can wear these all day without irritating my nose. I would buy these again!

These make the world look beautiful. I can't wait to wear these all summer. They're stylish and go with everything but also sporty to wear outdoors. Comfortable and sturdy!

I have been wearing Maui Jim's since I bought them from a guy selling them out of his black backpack while I was poolside at the Kapalua in the 90's! I have always loved the lenses for the multi-color depiction of the ocean & their style. But now the lenses are so LIGHTWEIGHT!! I am absolutely loving this pair (Happy Birthday to me!). Maui Jim's are always a great investment and they just keep getting better! They stay on, protect my eyes and look sexy! BONUS: the new aloha sunglass storage bag that doubles as a wipe cloth is da bomb! @lovestickdiaries

Bought for future J. Bonnamassa Medit. cruise and trip thru Switzerland. Reflective coverage should be excellent from water and snow reflections.

I absolutely love my new Maui Jim I wear them all day to school to the park grocery shopping and when driving walking there just perfect light weight frames super stylish look. Very effective on the water too!

I bought the Shallows for my best friend's birthday. He has everything money can buy, so finding a new style from the best sunwear brand was a great win!

My new Sunrise Shallows Brushed Burgundy Matte sunglasses are absolutely gorgeous and fit perfectly. They look exactly like the picture on your website, the light frame fits snug against my head, feels like I'm not wearing sunglasses at all. Love them.

I have loved several pairs of aviator-type Maui Jim sunglasses for years, and the service for repairs is fantastic. I couldn't find online the ones I've usually owned, but I know from the most recent repair that they were perhaps called "Akoni" - they have been terrific and I've owned at least 5 pairs over the years!! This time I ordered the Shallows which seemed similar - since I couldn't identify which I'd had before. The "Shallows" were disappointing - still great vision through the lenses. BUT the frames are too light-weight and just don't feel up to the standard of the others in terms of I guess what I would call solid construction - they feel on the "cheap" side compared to what I paid. And, they just don't measure up to the others I'd had for years. I hesitated to write this review because of my previous great experience. I hope I can find the others again. Thank you for great service and a usually outstanding product.

The lenses were not transparent as lead to believe, rather then mirrored. Frames stuck outward on the right side awkwardly. Instantly returned.
