I sized up a whole size based on the other reviews, and they ended up being way too big. I don't know if something has changed in Danner's sizing, but these are true to size as of Sept 2023 (the exact same size that I wear in Nike, Hoka, etc). Overall the boots pretty nice, but the support isn't great. You will probably want to replace the insole with something better if you're doing any hiking in these.

I really wanted to like these shoes, as I really liked the look and I've had good experience with Danner before, but they were just too narrow in the midfoot/forefoot area.

Great looking lightweight shoe. Not a hiker by any means unless it’s for walking the dog when it’s wet and muddy outside. This is more like a beefed-up waterproof trail running shoe than a hiking boot. Fit is great. I have a regular width, high arch, size 12 foot and the 12 fit me perfectly and was super comfortable right out of the box. I expected a more substantial “boot” for the price and from Danner as a brand but the quality is there- They became my go-to winter fatbike shoe and I had to order a Keen hiker to fill the need I expected this boot to fill.

Tried them on upon delivery, and found them extremely tight, especially the toe area which felt like my foot was in a vice. This was after I loosened the laces. I ordered half a size up so that wasn't the problem. Had to return regretfully since the style was exact what I wanted.

Good looking, high quality shoes but too narrow in toe box and difficult to put on due to the tongue being sown too far up to allow an easy entry.
