When you are doing long hikes, don't think of items of gear but think of systems. Footwear system, sleeping system. For footwear, wear good boots or trail runners and wear decent hiking socks. It makes no difference how good your footwear is if your socks are no good, you'll still get blisters. If you wear cheap socks and expensive shoes, you'll get blisters and your socks will wear out. These are good hiking socks. They don't wear through, they don't bind and they don't cause blisters.

Love this pattern! Fit is perfect as well. I have small feet, womens size 5 shoe. The small size socks fits perfectly and very comfortable.

Never knew socks could actually be made to fit; until coming across DTV, every sock I ever owned was for shoe size 8-12, so maybe only really fits a size 11-12. Ordered these in along with 4 others and love them all - sincerely, a new lifelong customer

These are the best socks I've ever had.I have neuropathy which makes walking painful. The cushioning of these socks helps so much with that, now I can even hike again.

great fitting socks

I love these socks - and all my Darn Toughs. I started wearing them after I talked with a German tourist on a ferry in the Aleutian Islands. She was on a 9-week trip with just 2 pairs of socks - both Darn Toughs! Since then I've replaced almost all my short-wearing socks with Darn Toughs.

Costomer service was great! My socks got lost during the USPS delivery, and new socks were immediately sent. I am looking forward to trying the socks my brother says are the most comfortable he has ever worn and currently the only brand he will purchase.

Very comfortable socks. Great fit and are a nice weight for use with boots but I can use them with my shoes as well.
