Extremely lightweight, attractive shoe. I rarely like the look of a winter boot but these are really cute for any age. For a slip on it didn’t slip at all in the heel due to the construction. You wouldn’t want to wear it in heavy snow, you wouldn’t want snow getting on top of the boot, this is more a boot for cold dry weather in warmer places. Not an everyday winter boot for rural wear or for the cold states. That said, I’m in northern Wisconsin and I would’ve kept these for warmer winter days and late autumn if I could’ve, but they didn’t accommodate my very high arches. The seam across the top, near the ankle cut into the top of my foot. Unless you have very high arches you won’t have that issue at all. That seam serves the purpose of keeping the boot from sliding around, and keeps it looking cute and trim. And for all my high arched comrades out there, the left boot fit, the right one was tight, so there’s hope. Some will fit and some won’t. I may try again. I wear 8.5 usually but the 9 in this fit like an 8.5. If you have a high volume foot definitely order at least 1/2 size up. Also, the pull on loop was a little small. It just barely fit my big fingers.

These lightweight boots are cute and warm! They do run small and like other reviewers I ordered a full-size up and was glad that I did! The grey color is super cute and will match both black and navy coats. I still have my first pair of The North Face quilted winter boots which were made with actual down for warmth! After almost 10 years they finally show signs of wear and tear!

These boots are replacing a similar pair from The North Face which are 10 years old! Lightweight boot which does its job in the snow! As others have commented they run small so I purchased a 9 instead of an 8 and glad that I did!
