This shoe is excellent AFTER one modification to the insole. I found that the insole cushioning/support around the heel area was too snug for me. Also, I found the arch support of the insole to be a tad more aggressive than I like (I'm used to Keen shoes, which have mild arch support). So, I used some scissors to trim away the sides of the heel portion of the insole so that it would lie completely flat in the shoe (not curved up around the sides). I then trimmed away the arch support so that it was very low. Now this shoe fits PERFECTLY and I will update this review after my 14-day, 270-mile hike on the Camino de Santiago.

Thanks to the previous reviews, I tried this hiking shoe. Looks great and is one of the most comfortable hike shoes I have owned. Comfortable with great support.

Excellent shoes. Very comfortable. Sleek design. Great for a day on the trail or a night out in the city.

These shoes are just as good as they look. Big relief since I was worried my expectations were too high. The stylish black on black is very sleek and modern looking. The brown leather look at the heel adds a mountain feeling like boots but of course you get the comfort and fit of sneakers. I don't use them to run. These are my shoes to go do errands when I want to be comfortable but look good. The style to them is different from running shoes. They are a little bit wider and boxy with nice amount of cushioning and boot-like laces. They are true to size but a tiny bit leaning towards the small side of the size. I got my regular size but wear a thin sock. Overall I am most happy about the styling and the comfort.

Great shoe, I would buy again! I just wish they would have sewn tongue into the shoe!
