I'm on my feet all day and really needed a comfy, yet stylish shoe. I'm glad I got these shoes because they provide excellent arch support. The problem is now that I have to get adjusted to the added support, because I've worn cheap ballerina style flats for decades. Hence, I'm paying the price no matter what I do. The strap is a bit short, but doable. Very roomy in the toe area too.

These run wide and big i am normally 8.5 W and even the 8 W was way too big. Both returned. I may try regular width.

I had my hopes up that these were going to be comfy. Sadly, they are too large. I am an 11 N , but they only carry these in Medium which is too loose, so even with the strap I think too much slipping equals blisters and metatarsal pain from your feet trying to keep the shoes from flying off, especially in the heel area. I might have looked for a 10.5M if I thought that these might be comfortable sizing down. But because the upper seems very stiff , like cardboard, I know that sizing down won't work for my painful bunion and my generally arthritic feet and bad back. My bottoms of feet need a lot of cushioning , my back needs arch support, my bunions need stretchy material that isn't too tight for my arthritic toes. Goodness what a pain in the neck I am! I love maryjanes; you can go looser without the shoe falling off, but it's a delicate balance between too loose and too tight, and these maryjanes are not going to be the answer to my prayers either. Do I need to design my own shoeline or get shoes custom made so I can wear anything but the one pair of asics sneakers I found that don't torture me? I suppose I could give these one more try with orthotics before I return them . But with the stiff upper, tighter will only aggravate this old lady's tired feet. Most likely returning.

The sides are very stiff and come up too high, hitting my ankle bone. I even tried them with orthotics. They are going back.

Ordered this same shoe in grey and liked it so much I ordered it also in the black, navy and black 'tweed'. Different colors...different fit. The navy and the black are much narrower...and the sides of the shoe too high. The sides on those colors rubbed the sides of my feet terribly. I think it is the stitching that causes this problem. The black 'tweed'...fit the same as the gray. At any rate...those colors did not work for me:-(

Normally I wear an 9.5 for a shoe I will wear without socks. After reading the reviews..went with a half size smaller. Very happy with the fit and comfort...and they are kinda cute as well. Being 67 has it’s issues with feet I have found. Bunions (thanks mom...lol) ...arthritic joints..hips and knees..so the right footwear is essential. These are super comfortable for me ol feet. Cute to wear with my summer dresses. I did have to add a insert as the sides of the shoe were rubbing on the sides of my feet. Easy fix. I am so difficult to fit I ordered two more colors before these got sold out. I would recommended? Thank you also to Zappos for their remarkable service...selections and super easy returns...the best!

Perfect if you need orthotics because they do run one size too long.

The shoe fits very well but the strap over my foot is too short. I have a high instep and have trouble with these straps. So sorry I have to return them

These are for my 85 year old Mother. We already have her a black pair. She needed variety and they fit her perfectly and are easy to keep clean. The fit is very comfortable for her because of her hammer toe and needing a wider width.

I loved this shoe. It really conforms to your feet. I wanted so badly to keep them, but the whole purpose for my purchasing them was to help with my Achilles tendonitis. Unfortunately there was not enough heel support and the heel was not high enough.

The shoe feels comfortable but feels a bit tight at the metatarsal region.

I was hoping these would be my goal-to’ shoe for errands and shopping all year long since I live in a warm year-round climate. Not so. The canvas is very stiff. I started off ok with them but on my first trip felt a blister forming on the outside side of both feet. It seems the shoe rises too much around my angle bone and really digs into my foot at that point. I limped home from my first outing. I tried them a second time, protected by bandaids on both feet but they wore off and I had then had to deal with infected feet. I couldn’t return them since I wore them outdoors but they will be donated to charity tomorrow. I don’t recommend these shoes at all and was expecting a better product from Clarks.

Everything was great with this pair of Clarks except that the material on the top of the back heel area came up too high on my ankle bone and irritated it. Would have kept them except for this.

Prior reviewers are correct: this cute and comfortable shoe is too wide in the heel. Sadly, am sending them back.

Cute shoe, nice color (greyish) - the sides in the back came up high against my ankle and were too wide on the sides, gapping - - sending back.

These shoes were too tight across the toes; I'd picked them because somebody had touted their wide toe box. Didn't work for me, though I wish they had.

I got these shoes for my wife as a birthday gift. She loved them!! And she gets a "kick" out of hearing others complimenting her on them.

These fit perfectly right out of the box. I have issues with neuroma and with Zappos easy return policy, I am able to order a medium width and a wide width in shoes. The toe box for the medium width was just what I needed ( similar to the toe box in the Keen's) so I am returning the wide width. Thank you Zappos!

I broke my foot last year and have custom orthotics. The shoe fit great except the strap was too short. It barely fastened and I was afraid it wouldn't hold. I do have fairly high insteps.

I think I need a narrow width, same size.
