These shoes are cute though have a very odd fit and are hard as a rock so uncomfortable as well. I ordered wide and for those who have issues with other wide shoes slipping at the heel, these should not do that as the heel is really narrow- which should work for me as I have an odd duck shaped foot that is not wide at the heel, just the toes, but still these were just a bit too narrow all over even in 2E. The tightness might loosen up but they also are oddly... shallow? not sure if that is the word but they have no depth and are tight from top to bottom- no room to put in a cushion insole- to soften the rock hard sole. They are just odd all over for me which is sad, propet used to be my go-to brand but they have changed things in recent years and has been a long while since they have worked for me, guess it is time to give up the brand.

I wanted to love these shoes. I liked the look and needed a waterproof hiking shoe for the Canadian Rockies trip we are taking. I ordered them in my usual size, 11W. Unfortunately, I could barely fit my foot inside the shoe and I had to send them back. Thanks Zappos for helping me by offering free shipping and a quick refund. I did find a pair that fit (New Balance Walking) in my size.

I have bought many Propet walking shoes over several years and currently have 3 in different colors. So I was very disappointed when I received the Petra waterproof. I have never bothered to complain about the odd configuration of the lacing because I just took the laces out and re-laced them in the normal pattern However, this pair has laces that cannot be removed because of the nature of the laces. Also, inside the toe area of these shoes is an odd manufacturing flaw that created a rough area that will iritate my toes in both shoes. Also, I always double knot laces to avoid opening, but these laces are too short for that. I am sorry that I need to return these.

I usually wear a wide but based on reviews ordered the double wide. Thankful for the reviews that stated width ran narrow. I sized up to double W and they fit like a wide.

Looks nice and durable on outside, but double wide not wide enough around the toe-box for my bunions...had to send back, which is a shame because Propet has been my consistent go-to brand for comfortable shoes...I bought New Balance in mens size instead. Not as cute style-wise but who cares about style if your feet hurt.

Shoe runs very small

I always wear an 8 wide in Propet. Unfortunately I didn’t read the revues before ordering. I am returning for a size 8 dd. I really like that they are waterproof and hope they fit.

These shoes felt comfortable right out of the box. However, as others have written, the lacing is odd. The laces are too short to tie in a bow and the aglet is too thick to push back out of the whole after lacing. That being said, I like the shoes and can live with the lace situation.

I really like these- but the fit across the width is super small- I don't even have a wide foot but ordered wide since I'd be wearing heavier socks- they are too tight and I need to return them. I don't think I'll reorder them since the width is so small. but for someone with a really narrow foot they would be great!

Fit is ok, but 1/2 size short. I decided too casual looking for my needs.

These sneakers are very comfortable, good support. I usually wear an 8. Got these in 8 W—width is great but just a bit too short, so returning.

Nice looking shoe but very stiff. I ordered wide due to arthritis in one foot toe joint, otherwise I wear a medium. This felt like medium width.

Did not seem well made.

The shoe was a little narrow to be extra wide but the more important problem was that the shoes looked like the rubber was made of two different and distinct colors. I used them anyway as we were getting ready to leave on the trip that made it necessary to purchase this shoe. They were a tiny bit narrower than I would have expected, and they were waterproof as far as I could tell as my feet never got wet.

The shoes are appropriately a bit more substantial than the knit and fabric Propet's I usually purchase since they are water resistant and designed for Winter use. I have been wearing Propet shoes for 20 years. A size 6.5 wide has always worked for me. With the Petra, however, I had to return the 6.5W because they were too short and too narrow. So, I sized up. The size 7 extra wide fit me well. I did have to replace the furnished 42 inch shoes strings with some 54 inch black ones my husband had on hand. The furnished 42 inch grey strings were exceptionally hard to remove since they were to "fat" for the eyelets as well as being too short. The 54 inch black ones my husband had were ones he uses for dressy boots he purchases online at Zappos so they are a bit thinner even though they are round strings too. Black is a much better color for winter shoe strings anyway. Zappos is so easy to use and their easy return and shipping service is the best.

It's very narrow for an x-wide and felt shorter at 6.5. I usually wear a 6 wide but ordered this for extra room for thick socks and they're tight and too narrow with regular socks.

We returned these. I bought them for my mom she is a W and these were too narrow.

toe box was narrow - even tried the shoe in a wide and still had the same problem.

I've always worn a size 10. I saw the reviews stating that these shoes ran short, so I ordered a 10.5. And they're still too short. But the next size up is a 12.

Great looking, good material, size not true.

The material was a hard rubber interspersed, with shoe material between, Due to my bunion on right foot and broken toe on that same side, they hurt.

I've been buying Propet shoes for years, always in a 9.5 2E. These are far narrower than any I have previously bought. I bought two other pairs of Propet in a different style and they fit fine. I'm really disappointed because I like the look of the shoe and was thrilled that it was waterproof.
