Disappointed - I really wanted to like this shoe. Style, colors, and sizing great. However, the inner height of the heel and arch versus the drop to the front of the shoe is too high for those of us used to wearing more evenly surfaced running sneakers and hiking boots (in spite of their overall height). It felt like a bit of a fall forward with each step. The heel and arch were also a very hard surface in spite of the cozy lining.

I really like the Zoe, but grrrrrr…with my arch and high instead it was very tight and uncomfortable across the top of my foot and therefore I could not get my foot in it like I should. Ongoing problem for me which makes shoe buying challenging

The slippers are very, very cute. But, other than the heel, I felt like I was walking on cement. Will be returning.

I really wanted these to work. Pros: they are cute, could accommodate a custom orthotic, and comfortable to stand in. Cons: on me they fit more like a scuff which means they slopped around a lot which made walking difficult and which I didn’t notice until I was walking normally outside of the house. Wore them outside twice: the first time I had to walk very cautiously and slowly as they slapped around; the second time out as I turned around to close my door my heel slid out to the side and I rolled my ankle over and that was it for me. I can’t afford a sprained ankle. I have worn them outside now so I can’t return them. A disappointment and pricey investment that didn’t turn out. I don’t usually write reviews, but I decided to this time in the event it might help others assess carefully, especially if concerned about lateral stability.

I have these in brown and red ( which the soles wore out) they do not have a huge arch in them as these do…very small. Can’t even walk in these new ones the arch is so high…they must be defective.

If you are accustomed to Haflinger or Gieswein wool in cold, wet weather, I’m afraid these Taos will disappoint. I’m used to wearing wool clogs in the Midwest in all kinds of miserable snow rain weather, and my feet always stay warm and dry. But one trip out with the dogs, on wet grass at 55 October degrees, and these clogs were soaked thru and cold. They look great and the fit is fine. But I can’t recommend.

Fir was good length wise. I had to remove the insole though and replaced with a felt liner. Just too much insole and I felt more stable without it. Otherwise I tend to roll off the outer edge. Don't need a sprained ankle!

Taos shoes have great arch support for my very high arches and this shoe was no exception. Wore them all winter (here in cold Nebraska) and it was like slipping on a toasty pair of bedroom slippers every day, soft fuzzy lining and that cute embroidered boiled wool outer that made me feel like yodeling in the Alps! Not "great" traction on the ice, but whatever. I seriously had SO many women compliment me on them and ask where I got them....and I had to spill the beans and tell them ZAPPOS!

These were a gift for a friend who is 93. She loved the fit and feel but felt with the open and slightly elevated heel she couldn't walk in them safely so unfortunately I had to return them.

Really love these. I use them as house shoes and am very happy.

They are so darn cute and I just love them. I have all wood floors and I also have a torn ligament in my arch that has recovered but the arch is still collapsing. They totally support my problem. Love them.

Well made shoe and fits like a glove. Very comfortable. These will keep my toes toasty warm this winter as I shuffle around inside.

So comfortable, terrific support and great to wear around the house.

I usually wear Spenco in 8M which is EUR 38.5. I ordered the 8-81/2 in this style, but my toes were hitting the toebox. The next size up was no longer available, so I returned the shoe. The Woolderness 2 was very well constructed and lightweight. The color was a deep cranberry which contrasted nicely with the embroidery.

Comfortable and beautiful. Love the embroidery which adds a special element. Great quality! Taos is an excellent brand.

Absolutely love these woolderness shoes.....comfortable right out of box. Perfect size & width. Love the arch support. I usually have trouble getting shoes to fit comfortably! Not these. Definitely great choice.

Such cute supportive house slippers. They do run small, so I would suggest ordering a size larger.

These shoes were an indulgence for me as I generally do not spend $100 on "house shoes" and they are worth every penny. Not only is the design well made but the firm sole and arch support make them feel so much more like regular shoes than slippers. With thick socks they are a little snug but that's an easy fix and the fleece interior feels comfortably warm. I would buy these again without hesitation.

Love these shoes. Very comfy. Great for wearing around the house like slippers, but they have cork and rubber soles so you can wear them outside too. Terrific arch support.

Fit is great, I ordered a 9.5 as usual, feels true to size. The lining is cozy and keeps my feet warm around the house.
