These shoes fit right out of the box. I'm a 9M and the fit was perfect. Had to wear them on a road trip, had no problems with discomfort even walking through airports. I wear medium to thin socks. I felt the arch support was excellent; got a lot of compliments on these, and being leather they were warm enough to wear without my feet getting cold in 30 degree weather. I got the Navy, and the color was as pictured.

These shoes are wonderful. So nice and soft on the inside that I can wear them in the summer without socks. The only thing I would say about size is, they feel perfect without socks. Might be a bit snug with socks/no shows.

These tennis shoes are excellent! I buy black often as I wear them with black scrubs. They're very comfortable, the fit is perfect and a nice cushion. Perfect shape of the toe so it doesn't cramp them and not rounded so much that they would look frumpy. I would buy every color, but some I know I would never wear.

I thought these would be great, but for some reason they are cut really low around the ankle so you can't get that secure "I'm wearing a sneaker" feeling and one of my feet kept slipping out - odd issue for Born which usually fit so well.

I bought this shoe looking for a comfortable alternative to Converse chucks which are horribly uncomfortable. I liked the style of this shoe, but (as a previous reviewer noted) the trim around the top of the shoe hits very low and is extremely uncomfortable. I walked around the house and it bothered me so much I immediately took them off and returned. I knew with frequent wear the low edge on the shoe would rub my foot raw on the inside of my ankle - even with socks. It's a very strange (and poor) design.

Born is still great after all these years. These are the perfect leather sneaker, styling-wise what you see in so many other brands but 1000% better as they are a joy to wear, comfort wise. Great quality of materials, love the deep jewel color choices. Please keep cranking out these more fashion-forward choices that don't make me want to die after 10 hours on my feet.

I LOVED the look of this shoe, and couldn’t wait to get it. Unfortunately, the shoe itself is a little too narrow. The toe box, in particular, is too tight, and I can feel the top of the toe box pressing down on my toes. I tried to talk myself into them, but they are just too uncomfortable, so they are going back.

I enjoy wearing the shoes and get lots ox compliments on them. I walk and do things quickly so I like how snug and secure they feel on my feet. They are pretty much my house shoes. They do etch or show wear in the leather easily and I thinking of putting a bit of leather conditioner or cleaner on them.

Finally, a sneaker with excellent cusioning and arch support! The shoes look good, but more importantly, the are so comfortable!

Bought these for my wife, in her normal sneaker size. (8.5 New Balance). They fit snug, but seem to be fitting well now. She loves the comfort and the color. (Gray)

I usually wear an 8.5 to 9 but the 8.5 was too big and the 8 was too small. Goldilocks would be barefoot unfortunately as am I when it comes to this shoe. I love Born an have many pairs but the last few years it seems they are more narrow, unless my feet have just spread out with age?

Super comfortable and dresser than a regular tennis shoe so will be able to wear as a casual shoe/loafer alternative. I wear a 7.5 shoe and usually an 8.0 in a tennis shoe but 7.5 in this shoe fits. I have a narrow foot and this shoe fits very well; no gaping. Shoe has great cushion and support. I have burgundy and grey; both very pretty colors and will wear a lot.

I love Born shoes! These are true to size (I like a 7.5). The width is a true medium (my foot is a true medium in the toe, arch, and heal). The rounded toe is just right for my feet (instead of having a pointed angle to my toes, mine are square across the top). The toe fits almost snugly (I like snug shoes, but not pinching – these do not pinch). My biggest concern is that they are a little tight from top to bottom. Given that the upper is leather, I’m sure they will stretch, but the leather is stiff, so it may take a bit of time. Also, the insole is removable and super soft. The insole has clear arch support, and given that it is so squishy, the arch support gives enough for me (I don’t like super high support). Other reviewers have commented that the back is low, and it is – it does not interfere with my Achilles in the least (which is something I cannot deal with even in the slightest) or slip off my foot. If you like a low profile, these are fabulous. The back along the upper edge also has a little padding, like an athletic shoe that is meant for real usage. The grey is dark, but not charcoal. I also bought the burgundy, but will return them (they are cute, but as a winter shoe, the white platform is a little too much contrast for my tastes, and the grey are just a bit more universal given my wardrobe). These are a keeper for me.

I am so sad that these shoes do not fit me. They are too narrow, while at the same time, they slip off of the back of my heels when I wear socks. I do not normally have to purchase wide sizes, but my feet are not narrow. I have several other Born shoes that I love. I really want to find shoes with a similar look that are not narrow.

This is the softest leather I can’t wear any other shoe but born because of my arch is collapsing they hurt if I don’t have support these are wonderful to have a stylish sneaker that actually works

Very nice looking shoe and the cushioned insert was very comfortable. I'm returning because the toe height is "slim" and my big toe rubs against the top, otherwise I would have kept them.

I believe that these shoes fit true to size. They are very comfortable. I wear these without socks and have had no issues with rubbing or causing blisters. I ordered the grey leather and I love the look of them. They work with shorts or jeans.

Color:Light Brown Leopard Fabric Combo: The leather was as soft as butter. Shoe is cute and sporty. Comfy on all counts. Need to use my shoe horn. I could tell these shoes would require NO break in time. The color of the leopard on this shoe is just right. Not too bold due to it being only a trim. Had a texture like horsehair. Smooth.

Very comfortable after initial break in period.

These caught my eye because I am looking for a walking shoe that's more stylish than a standard sneaker. I ordered my regular size, as recommended by Zappos, and when they arrived, I immediately tried them on. The length seems to be correct, but they are quite narrow in the toe box area; uncomfortably so. I'm disappointed because I have heard good things about Born shoes, and they feel comfortable under my foot, and are quite stylish. But I know there is no way I can wear these for any length of time; I can barely squeeze my foot into the shoe. (I typically wear an average width shoe, not wide.) Returning these, and will keep looking.

A really cute shoe, I purchased two different styles. However, they have to go back. The heal as others have mentioned rubs the wrong place on the back of my foot, and I didn't think the shoe had great arch support.

It has a thick padded insole, which I generally like, but in the 10 there wasn’t enough vertical space in the toe box. The 11 was better in the toe box, but the sides of the shoe visibly drooped unless laced uncomfortably tight. Beautiful shoe, but ended up returning.

Nice style but will rip right into your heel. Returning.

I wanted to love these, but alas, could not. The fit was just not right for my foot at all. Too low cut, rubbed around my heel/Achilles area, and felt very stiff and somewhat constricting in the toe box. (and my feet are fairly slim/flat). Have to return.
