The older I get, the flatter the shoe I need due to arthritis issues in my big toes. I knew these boots had a small heel but I was hoping the platform would offset it enough. Also read many reviews where people said they wore this boot for lots of walking. Alas, I had it on a short time in the house and the heel height was putting too much pressure on my toes and I certainly could not use them for any amount of walking. Sadly I had to return them. I bought my normal 6 1/2 in a boot, it fit perfectly.

I love Taos boots. No breaking in needed. Put them on and wear all day. Great support. However I was surprised as my other 3 pairs of Taos have laces and an inside zipper. The picture on this does not show the zipper. But they do have a zipper.

Great looking boots, but they run a whole size smaller!!

This is the second style I've tried from Taos. Tried on "crave" in size 11m. It was a little too short. I'm a true size 11m. I ordered size 12m in the "factor." It felt like it was the same fit. Too short. I don't know what is going on with their sizing. Very disappointed. Otherwise I know it would have been a great boot!

The toe bed is too narrow. It is an oval shape like the heel rather than rounded for toe room. Remainder of boot fit well. This is the third pair of Taos in different styles I have tried; all have the same issue.

These boots are super comfy! I think they are molding to my feet. These are the type of shoes I could wear if I am doing a lot of walking (ie 10K steps in a day) but want to be dressier than sneakers. Definitely a winter boot, they are warm and I wore on an unseasonably warm day (60 degrees in Jan, in CT!) and I felt they were too hot. The style is cute, I am still figuring out what to wear them with. I got the navy color and think they look nice with skinny jeans. I am tall, so they are good at hiding pants that are a little short on me :)

These boots have received a ton of compliments. I wear them everyday in NYC and they are sturdy and stylish.

I love this boot! Taos is a brand I found after I hurt my foot and needed shoes with both comfort and support. They have cute styles that can be dressed up or down! Plus they are great right out of the box and have all day wearability! The Factor boot is no different!

My foot is 11" when I measure it standing and I needed a 43. I love these boots! They are well made, sturdy and look very cool, like an elegant Dr. Marten's boot with texture and stitching. Could have more arch support but that is because I have flat feet.

Cute, but these seem to be a little narrow even when I went up a size based on past experience. Could be more comfy but not bad.

As mentioned in other reviews these run small for the size and the heel area is tight. The style is perfect for what I want so I will try a size up.

It took me a while to decide what size to get. I wear a 7 1/2 M. After reading several of the reviews I was so confused if I should get my normal size or go a size larger. I got the 7 1/2 in black and the fit is perfect. They are very comfortable. I wore them all day today and didn't have any problem. They're very easy to get on and off. I'm glad I bought them.

I bought two pairs, one for myself and one for my mother. We both love them. they are well made, high quality shoes that look beautiful. We each got the deep red color.

My mother and I liked these shoes so much that we each got a pair!they are very well made and comfortable. when I look at them on my mother's feet, they look gorgeous, too.

The Boots of My Dreams/ Finally!!! I've been looking for stylish combat boots with ad 1 3/4 to 2" heel for a while now. I have average to narrow feet, depending on the shoe, and am usually a size 10 or 41 Eu. Occasionally, I will need a 40 Eu because they are sized wrong or are too wide. I also have quite narrow heels and no in-step to speak of. Usually when the reviews say the shoe I want is "too narrow," I pounce because that means it'll fit me. Not enough shoes come in Narrow sizes and almost none above size 9. I have a cool pair of Frye's that are so wide, I bought a size 9 and they still slip in the heel. I've been hoping to find boots that can be adjusted with laces, but zipped for convenience. I just put these on and they fit like a dream. The size 41 is literally sized for my foot, exactly. The fit could not be more perfect. I haven't worn them walking yet, but I'm so excited about the fit that I had to submit a review immediately. Oh, and they're GORGEOUS, such a classy looking shoe, and almost half price! Thanks Zappos, I got the last pair in Black size 41. HAPPY HAPPY feet!!

I really like the way these boots look and they are moderately comfortable. They definitely need breaking in and they don't support my high arches at all. I like the blue option and the style so I am keeping them.

These boots are really cute and look a lot more expensive than they are. Unfortunately they were just SUPER uncomfortable. They fit fine, but rubbed on my heel and were very stiff. It took me many years to learn that shoes need to be comfortable the very first time you try them on or they will never be comfortable, but having ultimately learned that lesson the hard way (pain! blisters! callouses!) I am sadly I am returning this very lovely pair of boots.

I purchased these after loving the Taos Crave boot. Same construction, just slightly different exterior design - and this model was on sale! It is well worth the investment. Gives you a 1" heel, good width and support, and it is such a nice looking boot - I had to buy it in Black (my Crave is in teal). If the sale prices drop further, I'd get a 3rd color!

I've already got a pair of the Taos Crave boots, so know they run tight. I sized up a full size, and these are perfect to wear with heavier socks. Killer boots, stylewise. Comfortable. Easy on & off with that zipper. I'm good! I had a pair of blue shoes back in the 70s and the "blue ink" color is the same dark, "is-it-blue-or-black?, that they were.

I love these baeutiful boots. I wanted to keep them but had to return. I normally wear a 8.5 ordered the 39 which was too small then ordered the 40 which is too big even with thick socks on to big in the heel. Returning .

I bought these for my daughter. This is her 3rd or 4th pair of Taos boots similar style. She wears them out but that is because she wears them everywhere, everyday to nightclubs and hiking. She loves them!

I am a 9 1/2 - 10 and the size 40 was way too small. Size 40 in Taos is more 8 1/2 - 9 (maybe a snug 9 1/2). The boot is beautiful. I just decided on a less chunky heal.

Comfortable right out of the box and I received so many compliments on these the first day I wore them. Great quality and stylish.

I have had Taos Crave and wanted the same kind of boot but different. I got these and love them.

After reading some of the reviews, I was confused about what size to order. I normally wear 7 1/2 M and was going to go up a size, however, I didn't do that. I ordered 37(7-7 1/2) The size if perfect and so is the width. I've been wearing them every day and they're very comfortable.
