This boot had an odd fit. I ordered my usual size for shoes I want to wear heavier socks with (10WW). The footbed seemed to fit well and was comfortable, and it seemed liked the upper calf would fit well (I need 18") but the ankle and lower calf area was so tight that I couldn't even get the boots zipped up. This is not an area that I typically have trouble fitting with boots. Had to return them.

the size of the foot section was true to size and a good fit for me. The extra wide calf was way too big for my calves. I wish Zappos would post calf size for each size in a boot. I have a pair of David Tate ankle boots that I love! They have worn extremely well since living in Michigan means 7 months of boot weather. I want more David Tate boots, but the sizing is inconsistent. Zappos posts the measurements for a size 6 boot. I have returned at least 6 pairs of David Tate boots because they don't fit. One of the side zippers was faulty. It would split when zipping up. I wear a 13 w shoe/boot. Zappos has been the best source for quality boots and shoes for me for many years.

I have large calfs - these boots are cute but the wide calf is crazy wide. they looked funny and floppy. I have to return and try something with a more "normal" size calf. Too bad they are cute - if you are a person who thinks - my calfs are too wide for knee high boots - try these. They are WIDE.

I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to finally find a boot that accommodates my large calves, has a low heel and is constructed with quality materials! I have very wide feet, relatively slender ankles, and curvy legs, which means finding a nice boot to fit my wide feet AND heavy calves is a venture in frustration. I gave up having the ability to wear boots in my late 20s, but I've had such great success finding stylish quality shoes with a great fit here at Zappos that I decided to give knee boots another try. I'm happy I did! If you've given up wearing knee boots because you haven't found a boot that fits your unique and curvy calves, give these boots a try! They're made just for you! These boots also have a roomy toe box to accommodate wearing heavier winter socks too. They're so comfortable!

I was prepared to be disappointed in another wide calf leather boot that didn’t fit my calves but I was pleasantly surprised. I have 17 inch calf without jeans on so the extra room on these is much appreciated. Now I can look cute and stylish. I may take to my shoe repair place and have them add some side supports to the shaft so they don’t end up slouching and to change or remove the boot lining which is nylon.

I haven't used them yet, but they fascinated me as they were. I always have difficulty in getting high boots because I have big legs. these fit me perfectly

The wide calf was REALLY wide. My calves are about 16.5". I had to return these. Cute though with the back lace up which could have made the calves even larger.

The fit was great, the boots were very comfortable for a 12 WW, but the shaft was too big. I was sorry to have to return them.

Beautiiful boot that fit well on foot, and ankle, but the calf was much much much to wide for even my wide calf.

The calf is a bit too wide and the ankle is WAY too BIG! Felt like I would break my ankles in them.

The boot appears gorgeous, but the lack of buckling around thanked is a problem. I wear a 9W shoe and Torrid leggings are size 4. The foot was loose, it sags at my ankles, and it fits a touch tightly at the top I could adjust that with the lacing, but that won't help the problem with the foot and ankle. The zipper is really difficult to open and close (both on my foot and off it). For some reason it is also. very sticky, as though there had been adhesive on the zipper pull that had been removed. Returning.

The fit around the ankle was way too loose, might work for someone with chunkier ankles. This boot kind of reminded me of what Santa Claus might wear...if the boot didn't have the lace-up back. I thought this would fit like the other pair of David Tate's I ordered, but they didn't and these had to go back.
