Use it to commute---train/subway/walk...Also when driving the sleeves fit perfect and don't bulk up over my hands! Just a great jacket to put on and know that whatever the weather I'll be covered!

The gotham is a REAL jacket, as funny as that may sound. I've bought similar priced jackets and they just don't compare. You feel the weight of the jacket. I'm usually in Utah two weekends a month where it gets down to around 10 degrees, this jacket makes the cold very comfortable.

I use this jacket in the frigid winters of upstate New York where temperatures drop as low as -30F (with windchill) during the peak of winter. I tried this jacket on when it arrived, and immediately noticed how much lighter it was than I expected it to be, which is a plus, because it is extremely warm and breathable in conjunction with its light weight. It is a very well constructed jacket, and I feel like it will last me for years to come, and the lifetime guarantee from The North Face shows just how confident they are in this product, and you should be too!

This jackets seems to be very well built tough and able to withstand the elements, its rugged but comfortable and warm, the included neck/face gaurd makes this jacket stand out above others, since it gives you another level of protection against the elements! Extra pockets to place all your essentials, im ready for a cold cold winter! Definitely a good buy

The jacket feel so good . I went to Russia with this jacket you the top of mountains area, this jacket made me survive plus in USA this jacket is perfect.

Love this thing. I'm 6'2 185lbs, so large sizes are usually great length overall and in the arms, but too big in the torso This was no different, but a quick trip to the tailor and it's perfect. Would recommend.

Awesome jacket. Stylish especially in TNF Black. North face always knows their jackets. Despite the fact that I'm not a huge fan of the faux fur, I simply took it off and the jacket still keeps its edge. Excellent!

Great for walking around on those cold days

I bought this version of jacket in 2012 after spending many years being freezing cold walking in the winter. This jacket is very warm the second you put it on. You can confidently walk outside with just a t shirt underneath and know you will be toasty warm all day. The outer layer is very cut resistant and waterproof, also very easy to clean with a damp cloth. Money well spent. I did have to replace the zipper, which had broken into two pieces (quick fix at any tailor.) Zipper is the weak link, but even with just the buttons, it was still very warm. Love the insulated hood which keeps your ears warm and snow out of your face. The fur is fake, so the angry PETA people might respect your choice a little more (personal exp lol). In the cold Canadian winters, having an overkill jacket is never a bad investment. I would definitely buy again, but I probably wont need to for many years to come.
