The size seems perfect- I bought it in a larger size for my daughter to wear next summer. Compared to other dresses it seems to run true to size. The fabric is a lighter weight than I expected, which will be great for hot summer days, but may wrinkly easily. It also has a cute button detail on the sides of the bodice.
