When I first saw the boots in person, they appeared very large, 2 sizes too big, but when trying them on, they fit great and were very comfortable! True to size. I love the wide toe box, that is difficult to find with shoes. The boots are not as heavy and clunkly as other boots which is nice. They keep my feet warm and dry in -4 temps with -14 windchill here in Ohio and 4" of snow/ice without making my feet too hot. The arch, heel, and ankle support is impressive. These are the most comfortable shoes I own and usually boots are not comfortable to me! The boots come with two different shoe lace options, I prefer the light blue laces, they add a touch of femininity. Due to the type of material the laces are made of, you have to double knot them otherwise they wont stay tied. I wear the boots when shoveling snow, they are great on ice and keep me from slipping. I wear them when walking my dog, driving, to work, etc. A side zipper would be appreciated so it didnt take so long to put the boots on and take off but then that would probably effect the waterproof-ness probably. Other color options would be nice too. Overall, I am very impressed with these boots. They seem nice quality and well made. Comfortable. Great fit. Happy with my purchase so far. Would recommend to others!

I bought this 2 weeks ago and hike twice. It is light warm and waterproof. Very happy to have it. But I have wide feet wish Merrell can make more WIDER size

The boots are comfortable once on but they take a little extra effort to put on if you have a high arch like I do. Easy to take off.

I just received my boots this week and extremely happy to find out that they are true to size lengthwise. Obviously I'll have to wait until we get cold weather and snow to make sure they're going to keep my feet warm. My neighbor only buys your hiking shoes and boots but we have both come to find out that your boot laces do not stay tied up. I'm not sure what can be done to rectify this problem. They're slippery and they do not even stay tied up when you double knot. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is a pair of cute and practical snow boots for winter. Unfortunately, they were half a size too big for me. I usually order an 8 for shoes and that works most of the time. I was swimming in the size 8 and really needed a 7.5. That said, they're wide ( most shoes aren't wide enough), very well made and pretty cute. It's too bad they had sold out in my size so I had to go with another pair.

Comfortable hiker with the best traction on rocky slopes and steep inclines. Ankle area is well supported but not stiff and incumbent. Only reason I didn't give this hiker a five star rating is the shoe size is a full size out. I always order Merrell shoes in a size 7 and they fit true. However, the 7 was too big so I sent back and ordered a 6.5. They are still a bit big even with thick socks. I should have sent them back again for a size 6 but my daughter used them on hike and got them muddy. In addition, I do prefer hook eyelets on the top rather than hole eyelets for easier removal but guess that's a personal choice.

I bought these in late October so that I'd have boots for winter (December). These boots fit as expected(true to size and width). They are sold as waterproof. Well the 1st snow as I was shoveling slush and wet snow the tops of my feet became wet. These are also rated as insulated. I wear a good merlino wool sock and unless you are constantly active you feet will get cold. Other than those issuesthey are comfortable

Where the tongue attaches to the boot (both boots); needs to be adjusted a couple times during the first 15 minutes of the hike as the fold doesn't lay flat. Otherwise the Fit is good. Traction is very good.

I loved these boots initially - warm and waterproof with aggressive tread. Unfortunately, after a week of wearing them, the top of the left boot started rubbing on my calf - it appears that the left boot has less cushioning around the top edge than the right boot. Also unfortunate is that Merrell no longer has this style in my size, so I cannot exchange them. I've resorted to stuffing some padding inside my sock to take the pressure off of my calf - not a good long term solution

I just bought these boots two days ago. They keep my foot warm and my foot has enough room to feel comfortable but the ankle part of the boot is not comfortable at all. A very stiff boot and for a lot of walking they are not the greatest. They need more give. They metal hook at the top of boot digs into my ankle. Not fun. Would not recommend this boots.
