Once again Zappos’ suggestion of choosing the narrow width has worked out perfectly for me. I was a bit unsure of the color when I received these because they looked almost black but I noticed when I buckled them they “rubbed” to a more burgundy color so I decided to keep them. I’ve been wearing them quite a bit and they are wearing in to have the most beautiful burgundy patina, perfect for autumn. Just a heads up, these did dye my feet red the first couple of times I wore them. As always, the Birkenstock Arizona offers great comfort and support for my plantar fasciitis.

This is a true to fit Birkenstock with a soft footbed. I LOVE the soft footbed, its super comfortable from the word go and becomes absolutely silky in time with wear. Please note that the Narrow Birk is actually for most foot widths, in my opinion. I am not a narrow in any other brand of shoe. The leather is of particularly good quality and extremely smooth to the touch. The zinfandel color is rich and delicious! Rose tone buckles are another nice touch. This shoe elevates the basic Arizona in a very classy yet subtle way. Love the way the color looks with all my favorites, olive, black, and denim. Very pleased with the purchase and a nice shoe to wear with socks into the fall.

Love the soft footbed. I can see why so many people have these shoes. Very comfy. The color is great, kind of a barn red, goes with almost everything.

The shoes I purchased are a beautiful Zinfandel color. Perfect for going into fall. I wear a perfect size 7 and I ordered the 38. Fit is perfect. I have had Birkenstock sandals before but I must say these are my fav.

What can I say?? Beautiful, exquisite shoes. Glad to add to my collection of Birkenstocks. Original color.

Not a fan of the soft foodbed!! Please don't do this to the shoes. I sent these back. Loved everything else about them but I just can't do the soft. Give me regular Birks.

I am a Birkenstock fan trying the soft foot bed for the first time. I'm impressed that Birkenstocks could get even more comfortable with just a little cushion. Zinfandel is the perfect name for this yummy multi- tone leather that ranges in color from raspberry red to deep wine tones.

Although I have had many, many pairs of Birks, these are the first I've had in the oiled leather. I love the feel of the straps and this Zinfandel color is gorgeous. They fit well and they are, as always, so comfortable!! Would be nice to see this color in other styles.

I love these Birkenstocks. I love the color and the fit is super comfortable. I would highly recommend this sandal.

Perfect, with exception of one toe that’s little longer

The zinfandel color is absolutely gorgeous! I'm so sad that this style is only available in the narrow width -- I'm actually pretty confused about the Birkenstock narrow width in general. It seems to defeat the purpose of the Birkenstock fit, which is generous and allows your foot room to spread out naturally. The narrow does not do this at all... and I have a low-volume, fairly narrow foot; it felt constricted, like a traditional shoe. Who wants a Birkenstock with a traditional shoe fit? Just puzzling. Plus the arch support seems non-existent. I bought a regular width Arizona and this one at the same time, and you could see and feel the difference in the arch area of the footbed. The narrow just didn't have any arch support at all. I don't see the point. Too bad, because it's a super pretty shoe. :(

This comes across on the website as a burnt red. It leans toward purple. Love the style and fit, just not the color I was going for.

This is my seventh pair of Birkenstocks. The six prior pair were all incredibly comfortable right out of the box, I never had one issue, and could walk for miles in them. This pair is not the same. The footbed is good, although I’m not sure that the soft footbed, a first for me, is particularly soft. It seems to have a bit less arch support than a typical Birkenstock. That being said, these still have more support than just about any other shoe out there. The problem with these is that the leather is very stiff, and is hurting the tops of my toes to the point of rubbing the skin off. I am wearing them with socks for now to try to break them in, because I like the color (what a sucker I am). Also, about the color: I opened the box and they appeared to be matte black, rather than red. But they are an extremely dark red, and I can see they will distress to a really nice red over time. Giving 4 stars on comfort based on wearing them with socks.

Shoes cause blisters in arch area not same as other pairs of same shoe, but since they are worn cant return, buyer beware
