I"m in my mid 30's, and remember growing up with sneakers like these. Glad Merrell brought them back, I have the black one, and it's a comfortable modern throwback to sneakers of my youth. Will probably buy a different color pair before this pair wears out, just so I have a back up.

Love the shoe and the retro look. The shoe is very light and feels great on the foot. Amongst most shoe manufacturers, Nike usually runs the smallest for me and I've always had to order 11.5 in Nike. For this shoe, however, the 11 fit perfectly - the 11.5 was definitely too long. When in doubt, size down.

Very stylish and comfortable

I bought these for the sole purpose of being my "Work shoe" because I stand for many hours. They're super comfortable and I feel like I can go for a run after work if I wanted to. They hold up well and have great grip too!

Overall, a very comfy sneaker, lightweight, and very good when ascending hills. I really like the aesthetics of the shoe. However, functionally speaking, the sole is a little tall. On slightly off-cambered trails, my foot has rolled a few times, fortunately without injury. But I would prefer a lower, wider footprint, similar to the Trail Glove series.

Very cute, and go with so many different colors. These are comfortable, but not very supportive. I would wear them to the grocery store, or to the gym on an elliptical, but not actually running on a trail.

Very comfortable casual sneaker. Great for easy day and lounging around but I personally would change to my MOABs for any hiking or other activity as the front has a bit too much wiggle room for me the more active stuff.

Wore these sneakers all over Spain and Malta as my daily walking shoe. Very comfortable. They also came with me onboard an ocean liner for my daily walk around the deck and for exercise. My only concern is that the glue that attaches the sole up and over the toe cap seems to be deteriorating. Not serious at the moment but it does seem like a design flaw.

I put in several miles walking all over Italy. The shoe is extremely comfortable for urban wear but not what I would wear except on easy gravel trails. These are not mountain shoes. Durability remains to be seen but they are now my comfort shoe for knocking around.

These shoes are almost perfect. The look is so cool, especially with the multi-color. I get compliments all the time and my shoes - yes, just my feet and shoes - were actually featured in a promo video! They are very comfy and true to size. The uppers just feel so comfortable too. Here are the rubs for me. There's only two, but one is pretty big. They are useless on anything wet. I've "ice skated" in parking lots and even on wet grass. Please change the sole on these shoes! They're so awesome, otherwise. The heel could be wider. I've nearly twisted my ankle in these a few times. You know that feeling of your ankle going straight sideways from lack of balance... I own several pairs of Merrells and love 'em. These could be legendary.

I bought these for the colour(s). Lol. Very comfortable shoes, I wear them a lot. My feet are relatively cool even in these hot days. I'm taking away one star because the pull loop on one shoe has been attached differently than the other. Just a cosmetic thing.

Totally happy with the appearance, fit, and comfort. When it's nice and dry outside, no worries, but if it's wet outside, that's where the soles fail me. They're very slippery, more so than any other shoe I've owned. There are a few times where I've almost slipped and fell for example on wet sidewalks during the rain. Happy otherwise.

Comfy sneakers that are great for running around or on the trail.

Shoes work great for me, daily fast walker, plus look great with jeans. BUT I ordered black. NOT black not even close indigo would be the farthest stretch to black. But they feel and look good!

I have used these as my primary sneakers for the past year. They've held up decently well, considering that I go hard on my shoes and didn't rotate between pairs to help extend their life. They're comfy even when standing all day, and breathe fairly well. My critique definitely lies in the material. You can see in my photos that there are tears in the fabric on the outer edge as well as significant wear in the heel cup on the inside of the shoe. These tears happened within 3 months despite taking care to tie my shoes snugly to prevent excessive rubbing. Despite the wear, I would probably purchase these shoes again if they made one change - the white footbed exterior gets really dirty and is impossible to clean due to the texture of the rubber. Unfortunately, most of their color offerings come with the white wrapping. If you do any sort of dirty work, be warned that the mud won't come off. I hope they offer more black soles in the future!

I've had these shoes for about a month now and they don't seem as high quality as other shoes from Merrell. The colors are really fun though and I enjoy wearing them around town, though I wouldn't use them for a hike or any outdoor activities. The fit seems extra narrow to me, also.

Not the most comfortable pair of shoes that I own but the fit, color and style is awesome. I get compliments all the time about how cute they are.

The Alpine sneaker offer style and comfort, a supportive shoe ready for a light hike or running errand around town. My only gripe is the rubber sole is super slippery on wet surfaces.

Great shoe but not enough breathable. They are very warm.

Great shoe little on the narrow side for Merrill. I know my size and enjoy knowing that's what I will get ordering.
