These shoes were a pleasant surprise! I bought these on a whim, and now I'm a believer. The Nova Rainbow shoes need no break in time. I pulled these out of the box and wore them while walking and hiking all around the greater Manitou Springs area, while on a long weekend getaway. If I could do it all over again, I'd buy two pair!!

For some reason the Merrell's have always fit me well and these are no exception. I like the fit, comfort and stability they offer.

I'm on my feet all day so for me these shoes are a great reward. Love how this shoe keeps my back from hurting at the end of the day.

I have really large feet, so I can only wear the more straight lasted shoes from Merrell. I have several differant styles and some of my favorite shoes are Merrell. These Nova hikers are great! I wore mine for several weeks ( I had to add a little sliver of foam under the left arch which I have to do in all of my shoes) before taking them out on the mountains. They performed great and I never had any issues with slippage or toe jamming on the downhills. I love them so much i ordered a second pair for future use. BTW, I used gators for hiking because I can't wear hightop shoes.

This shoe is honestly my favorite shoe ever!

Not only do they look great these shoes are probably the best hiking shoe I have purchased. The comfort was top notch and I didn't get one blister from over 55 miles of hiking in a week out west. I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone.

The Merrell Nova Rainbow is obviously a great looking and uniquely colored shoe but it's also extremely comfortable. The color scheme gets a lot of comments from people. I love the looks of them but my favorite thing about them is the comfort. Great shoe, Merrell!

I'm relatively new to the Merrell brand, but after buying the Nova Rainbow I can see myself becoming a lifelong customer. This is one incredibly versatile and rugged trail shoe, great for anything from running to long hikes. The outsole is delightfully aggressive and confidence-inspiring, and the Rainbow upper is tremendously cool. I even got some compliments while walking around a local park. Finally, the part related to the title of this review: fit. This shoe is so dang comfortable and fits so well, I'm sort of blown away. I don't expect this from truly capable trail shoes. The upper is glove-like and breathable while still offering considerable protection from terrain. One thing to note about shoe length: I typically wear a size 10 in all my athletic shoes, but in Merrells I size down to a 9.5. I could even see myself sizing down all the way to 9 and still feeling totally comfortable.

I'm thrilled with these shoes. The footbed it just right for my slightly high arches. the comfort for the heel and foot is spot on. The weight for the shoe is very good, and the shoe is nicely breathable in this hot weather. The only thing is that they look so good, I don't want to get them dirty! :D The grip/sole is aggressive and very stable on hard surfaces and performs well on dirt and gravel. The shoe strings need to be double knotted to keep from unraveling, but that's not too uncommon. Basically: Love the look, love the comfort, love the performance. I would highly recommend for walkers on hard surfaces and walkers/runners on trails. **The colors are really fun in these gloomy times.

This shoe is not only great looking but felt like I had plenty of support and traction on long trail runs. Feels surprisingly light and responsive.

After experiencing foot pain while running I knew it was time to purchase something that would provide me with a bit more comfort on the trails. The Nova Rainbows did just that and they look super cool.

I was in the market for trail shoes. Seen the Nova Rainbow shoes. Very pleased with this order. Great fit straight out the box. Planning on ordering another pair just to have.

I recommend this for walking the dogs or for light mountain hikes.

Great shoes! They look great and have the great Merrell soles for functional grip in the outdoors. They do run about 1/2 size big, but thick socks solves for that!

This is my first pair of Merrell hiking/trail runners. I'm an avid runner and bought these Nova Rainbow's to do some trail running. So far, I'm in love with this shoe and I LOVE the color combos! I love wild colors on shoes. I loved these so much I just bought a pair of the gray Highrise Nova for my brother for his birthday. I'm sure he will love them as well!

I love these shoes! I have large feet for a woman (I wear a men's 11), and these shoes are GORGEOUS! I love the overall look, the style, the colors, they are my favorite go-to shoe for work these days. I work 12 hour shifts primarily on my feet, and after a full shift in these shoes, I have no aches or pains. They are sturdy, yet lightweight and breathable. They are comfortable and give me so much support throughout the day.

This is my first pair of Merrells, but definitely won't be my last. I have a difficult time finding shoes that work for me because of an ankle I shattered a few year ago, but these are perfect!

I love this shoe at school and after school. they are comfortable and eye catching in every situation.

Extremely comfortable shoe. I use them for trail running and off the bat they were great. Didn't even need to break them in. Love the colors too
