Are you a teacher? A coach? Someone who needs to look nice for work, but also needs functional, comfortable pants? Do you wear pants? I spent almost a year searching for a sporty-but-dressy pair of black pants to wear for Friday night football games and Saturday band competitions; I take photos, move equipment, and sometimes march in parades. These pants fit the bill. The fabric is thin, which takes some getting used to (and maybe some careful underwear selection), but not too thin. While they do benefit from a light iron, once you put on the pants, the wrinkles mostly go away on their own. After washing, I hang dry these pants, which almost feel dry straight out of the washer. Paired with a staff polo and tennis shoes, you've got a clean, professional "coach" look. Paired with a sweater, nice shirt, and casual shoes, you've got a great teacher look. And paired with a t-shirt and sandals, you've got a great casual look. The cut is flattering and makes me feel confident. I own the black and gravel colors and plan on buying more. Gravel, however, is very close to OD Green, FYI. There are very few drawbacks to these pants. For my height (5'7"), I wish they were about 3/4" shorter, but when I wear chunkier shoes or boots, they are ok. Also, the drawstring is thin, so it doesn't do a fantastic job of keeping the pants in place, and there are no belt loops for a lightweight belt. Not everyone will have these issues, though.

I have been searching for comfortable plus size active, hiking pants - and happy to say, finally found. These pants are comfortable, breathable and so light. All day wear both in the brush and easily around town. Very happy with the purchase, I bought two.

You will not regret buying these pants. From hiking, to working in the office---these are so versatile. I own three pair and wear them all the time. I love how easy they are to travel with, they truly are stain/water repellant and have a ton of stretch, but still hug the curves.

Love these pants. Bought 2 pair for traveling to Europe as they took up little space in my suitcase and were easy to wash and dry in the hotel room. They have become my favorite pants instead of jeans. Now own 3 pair.

Bought these pants to wear under motorcycle riding gear and they are SO MUCH more comfortable than jeans! They move with me not against me. It's great to be able to squat and bend comfortably while setting up camp too. Highly recommend them!

These pants fit perfectly! Plus there is a draw string just in case you need to tighten up. The only thing I would change are the mesh pockets.

These are the best hiking pants for plus-sized women Columbia has ever made!!!! My 2 favorite design features are the boot cut and mesh-like fabric on the outer side of thighs. They've been perfect for the sunny hot days of summer, especially for sun protection. I own 2 pairs and wear them as casual wear, too. I only wish that the pockets were deeper, but my daypack takes care of that.

I bought these for hiking, but I war them ALL THE TIME. So comfy, light, dry fast, great stretch and they look nice.

I love these pants! Wear them all summer long for every day use and still have the first pair that I bought 3 years ago. They dry quickly after washing and hang dry, I do stretch them a little to smooth out the wrinkles when hung to dry. They are so easy to pack by rolling them up, I can travel for a weekend trip and only use a backpack. The boot cut is flattering and just the correct length for flat sandals.

I am pretty heavy in the the lower half of my body. These pants are amazing! They are flattering, very comfortable, and long enough. My legs are pretty long, and for some reason hiking pants have always seemed a bit too short. These are PERFECT! One little bit of advice, the material is thin so don't buy these for a super cold weather hike. I would DEFINITELY buy these again. I already purchased 4 pairs.

Needed pants for an African safari....these are perfect....lightweight, comfortable and fit well.

It is difficult to find plus size outdoor gear that looks nice, fits appropriately, and functions well. I often think clothes designers want to punish Big Girls by only making ugly clothes (horizontal stripes, big ugly flowers and lots of elastic). WOMEN'S ANYTIME OUTDOOR BOOT CUT PANT - PLUS SIZE fit very nicely and allow Curvy Girls to be dressed nicely when working out. I bought these pants for a specific kayaking trip with my husband. They performed and continue to perform well. The pants wicked away the water quickly. Even when they did absorb water, they did not appear "wet". They were not like "wet, clingy pants on a curvy girl". The active fit lets the pants fit nicely without having the compression fit or baggy-saggy pant look. I have washed them (black pants) in cold water and hung them up to dry. They have held their shape and color. They are lightweight and roll up nicely. I will definitely pack these the next time we go to Costa Rica or on any outdoor adventure trip. Ladies, the pants have 'give' that allows you to move without exposing the booty or feeling pinched. They cover you without having the "Grandma waistline". When we finished kayaking the Catawba River, we went to dinner. The pants never looked like we had just been working out. Like other reviewers, the pockets are not deep. I didn't buy these pants to stay connected to my phone. The back pocket has a tiny hook-n-loop closure. I would suggest the company add a second fastener for more security. Still - this is not a deal breaker. I felt confident in them and Dear Husband said I looked good in them - which is always a plus.

Bought these pants to work at a wildlife center in the summer. Love the water repellant material and how lightweight they are. Solidly made pants. Really held up well!

I bought a pair of these a year ago and loved hiking in them. I bought a size up so I could layer with fleece leggings for colder fall and spring hikes. The drawstring waist also made them a comfortable fit when I wore them without layers in summer. I bought the the light gray and did not regret wearing them even on hot days. They're light enough to wear in summer and keep my legs protected from ticks and other biting bugs while on trails. I just bought and received a second pair to alternate with my first pair. Mud and stains come out on the first wash without any stain treatment. Great product - I highly recommend them!

I was a little skeptical when buying these pants online, but they're perfect! The material has a little stretch, so they're prefect for running my pup through the woods.

Bought these for my wife to hike in. She now buys these to wear to work and all outdoor activities. She loves them.

Outdoor/field clothing for plus size women are really limited and I love that Columbia has a pretty good selection of clothing for my size range that are comfortable. I have these pants in every color offered. The material dries quickly (if you fall in a stream), and is stretchy without being clingy. Honestly, I find these pants more comfortable than yoga pants. I am 5'8" and wear a size 24 and the length and fit is perfect for me.

I absolutely love, love, LOVE these pants! They are absolutely perfect for traveling, because they weigh like nothing, and they are easy to wash in a sink when you're on the go. They dry very quickly as well. They come in all sorts of colors. I purchased a pair a few months ago, and am buying yet another pair now. My mom even wants a pair. They are a great lightweight pant for spring or summer months. Highly recommended!

Wearing larger cloths it is difficult getting a comfortable cut. This is wonderful it fits right, not tight in the thigh area like many. It is light weight and still durable. Wonderful for hiking and camping.

These are comfortable and light weight. They fit very well without being tight in the hips/butt. They allow a lot of movement and flexibility for climbing over boulders or laundry baskets. Not particularly warm, but with a pair of leggings beneath for cold days, they are perfect. Lastly, they pack incredibly well and come out wrinkle free.

It is so difficult to find excellent hiking gear in my size and Columbia delivers! This is a wonderful quality product that is true to size. I wear a size 16 misses and the 16W fit perfectly. I highly recommend.

I love these pants!!! The size is great, the feel is wonderful.... I wear a size 20 and most pants roll down but not these!!!! I LOVE THEM!!! I will be ordering me some more...

Usually I wear a size 16 but Columbia pants always run a size small for me in the waist, so I ordered an 18. I love these pants, I wear them in the office, in the field, hiking, running errands, basically everywhere. They are a great pant for everyday wear and very comfortable. The only problem I have is that while the waist fits fine, the butt and thighs is kind of baggy, because like I said usually I'm a 16, but they still look good, just look a little more relaxed fitted.
