We have had this design, a smaller version, in leather since the mid 80s. Another some in the style but larger. since the 90s. They look as good as new. We are going to love this one also as it extends deeper.

The Tote is a perfect size for my small laptop, iPad, and modest amount of work documents. The Tote also is very sharp in appearance. The only modifications to improve the functionality are: - Thin removable cushion at base - Removable sling strap - Slight expansion of the front pockets

Its great! Compact to fit easily under airplane seat, enough compartments including some easily accessible some without zippers for quick retrieval of passports etc. Only wish would be for a padded strap for shoulder. No external bottle holder, but water bottle easily fits inside.

I love the size of the bag, but there is zero padding for a small laptop or ipad. I'm afraid I'll break my laptop by setting the bag down harder than I expected to. It would also be great to be able to remove the sling strap. I don't use it and it adds a significant amount of weight.

Never been disappointed with any Tumi products

I am impossible to please with travel bags and have purchased more than my share. Totes = check. Backpacks = check. Shoulder bags = check. I have gone around and around and spent too much money on bags that were unsatisfactory for a variety of reasons. While traveling, I stopped at a Tumi store. One night I complained to the client advisory about how impossible it was to find the right bag (I have bought so many Tumi bags!). The next day I wanted to be sure I had not missed anything and stumbled upon this PERFECT bag. I carry a 15" corporate laptop, two iPads, and an agenda. OH MY GOSH...this bag is perfect. I agree with the others that the only thing missing is a true backpack option. For now, this bag fits it all and is compact, which I love. (For anyone complaining about the straps slipping, order the "Strap Gummy" (TM) product from Amazon...it works so well!). Thank you Tumi, and to the ever-patient client advisor who sold me this PERFECT bag. Seriously, it is perfect!

It fits everything. I have the laptop bag with the backpack straps but I couldnt fit anything that was thicker than a laptop in it because the dividers werent spaced far enough. Im a sales engineer so my sample kit didnt fit. This is great, it fits my 14 laptop, iPad, kindle, steam deck and my toiletry bag for long haul flights. Minimal dividers to get in the way but there are enough small pockets/sleeves in it to stay organized.

I purchased this years - maybe a decade ago - and didn't use it forever. Then when we started using it for trips as an option to get away from huge heavy backpacks or secondary bags, we found out how versatile and roomy this bag can be!! My husband used it while traveling in Europe for his surface pro and ipad, as well as the usual eyeglass cases, wallet, headphone/earbuds, keys, etc etc... it held everything and still looked pretty sleek. He's a big guy, so the weight with two machines didn't bother him. I use it for my airplane pillow. headphones, tablet and phone and card case, but expanded can also stuff my jacket or a fleece vest. This stows beautifully and can be worn crossbody or carried by the handle. I see the sling on this one, but my model from a decade ago does not have a sling, which is fine. I love this bag and nowadays use it for everyday commuting and it holds a lunch container, water bottle, the necessities and still does look brand new.

No joke this is my favorite Tumi bag to carry. Its so versatile, you can use it as a small briefcase if you have a smaller laptop/surface, the expansion is super handy while traveling because even expanded, it still fits perfectly under the seat in front of you. Ive had mine for 4 years now and it still looks brand new, even though i carry it daily
