The perfect little black ankle bootie that can be dressed up or down! Solid, comfortable heel and beautiful leather (I have no complaints regarding stiffness). I have another pair of Frye's in the same size that were/are narrow in the toe box, but these fit really comfortably and seem true to size. So happy with my purchase.

I loved the boots the minute I put them on. I don't find the leather to be stiff at the top as other reviewers have said. They are perfect with a comfortable height heel. I love Frye!

Frye brand boots have always run a bit narrow for me, but this pair of boots seemed to fit even narrower and tighter than usual. It's such a shame since I love many of the styles Frye offers. I wish they'd offer slightly wider widths.

I usually wear an 8 in Frye boots with a thin sock. I ordered size 8.5 to have a little more room and they were too small. Exchanged for a 9 and I think they will be great boots. I have never worn a 9 before. I think I will wear them a lot once I start going places again. The leather is a bit thinner than other styles of Frye boots I own, but I think that is on purpose for this style and not a quality issue.

I loved the boot, but unfortunately for me, the top of the boot cut into my leg. The boot needs to be a bit shorter or made of a softer leather.

I usually wear an 8 or 8.5. I first ordered the rose color and the 8s fit great but the color was too rose for what I was searching for. Re-ordered in the goldfish tan and dark brown. The 8s were too short and the 8.5s too much room in the toe area. The heels were stiff and the leather very stiff. And I own other Frye boots and these were particularly stiff. Like the heel height and the arch and the style but the leather itself and the sizing were off for me.

This Frye boot runs very narrow and at least 1/2 size smaller that marked.

I loved the look of these but the sizing was off. I ordered a 8.5, which is my usual size in Frye, and these felt very short. I thought maybe they would stretch (as leather normally does) but I wore them for 5 minutes on carpet while trying them on and they were putting pressure on my big toe and my outer toes. Nope. As one reviewer noted, the leather feels very stiff, so I don't even think these would stretch in width (and the length would still be a problem for me). Unfortunately, these are sold out in the next half size up. Aside from the sizing, I think these would be a great -- nice height on the heel but comfortable in the soles.

I have worn FRYE forever, they just last and last. I have seen the quality of the leather change over the years and have not found boots that I like as much as I have in the past. This pair disappointed the most, wide/bulky across mid foot, very stiff leather that may have caused an ankle blister. I want to love my purchases and when you work hard to talk yourself into a boot, well, it isn't love. Returned. ZAPPOS service was and is stellar!
