The right purple is always hard to come by. This is a great color. It compliments all sorts of things in my closet well. I spent all day walking around St. Augustine in these babies and my feet never hurt (that day or the day after). The tongue stays put, which is amazing because in most shoes like this the tongue floats all over the place. In a nutshell- buy these in EVERY color!

I really like the way that these shoes look but am not sure how I feel about the eyelet holes toward the bottom of the shoe since I live in a region where it rains. The heels of the shoe are slightly uncomfortable as I wore thick socks and it still rubbed through to irritate my Achilles.

Sizing was a bit confusing online, originally purchased shoes listed as size 9 w/ 8 m, apparently an 8m is actually 9.5 in women's. Exchanged for a half size down and they fit perfect.
