They look good but I ended up slipping all over and eventually ended up on the floor...won't be wearing these to work anymore

Just a heads up these shoes have weird shade of green that does not match other blacks and they do not fit true to size, I bought the high tops first which have a hole at the stitching now so I tried these and they don't fit the same at all I need a size bigger and yes I've broken them in.

I took a chance on these and disregarded the other reviews. They sucked. The other reviews are right. The nonslip on these is little to none. They're comfy I guess but to pay extra for nonslip and they don't even function properly is crazyyyyyyy. Don't buy.

They really dropped the ball on these shoes. "Made for the Makers" is what they're called, but they put less time, money and effort into making these. Which means the service industry is the last thing they care about. As far as slip resistant, it's a 6/10. Works with water, for the most part. Not with grease however. The comfort of these shoes 9/10. The sizing is true to size. The color is off, it's a greenish/dark grey color. Kinda odd, kinda cool. I love vans, the style, the fit. And I'd pay for these again if the color was right and the slip resistant technology was worked on. As for purchasing again, not until changes are made.

Good shoes I like using these for work but every time I order these online, I receive them in green and not black.

The shoes are comfy and definitely worth the money. I'm just really let down with the color. Wanted black, ended up with an olive green.

I love the shoes, they're incredibly comfortable and do their job BUT (and it's a big but) they are not black as advertised.. Dark green instead, meh.

I was so excited to receive these as I work in food service and vans are my favorite brand. Well they are not black as described they are dark green.

These are not truly slip resistant. I've been sliding all over the place. Also the color isn't really black.

Good looking shoe and somewhat comfortable until I hit about our eight on my feet. Wear a 7.5 in all tennis shoes styles and run true to size. Slightly slip off the back of not tied well. Not nonslip whatsoever. I typically work in Dansko's and can run through the kitchen without the fear of slipping. I was sliding all over the place in these. Also keep in mind material is canvas therefore liable to get bleach stains which we all know is common in the restaurant. Would not recommend. Love Vans for daily casualwear but not for work! Wanted to like them but did not at all. They need to work on the "non slip" quality before they advertise them as a work shoe.

These shoes are dark green and not black. If you want black shoes, these are not them.

I just got them today and just as the other 3 pairs I got they are dark green and not black. Since I'm disappointed in the color again decided to write a review on all the types I have bought. Hopefully this one's don't end up with holes like the other ones after 2 months of use. Need to get better glue.

I love vans and they are the only shoes I buy because of the look which made me love the made for makers idea for my work. I own a Vintage VW Mobile Bar Bus and the non-slip is great, my feet stay dry through rain and spills but the soles of the shoes separate from the edges. EVERY SINGLE TIME no matter what shoes I buy from Vans. Even worse this is the only shoe I have bought from Vans that have gotten almost 2 sizes larger after breaking in. I purchased my regular size and after a month my feet are swimming in these things. I am usually a size 12 none of my vans have been this bad I am going to have to buy an 11 in order to make them work. I am only contemplating ordering again because I have already invested in a lifetime supply of ShoeGoo to fix the soles separating on previous vans to get more time out of them and can't find anything else I like the look of... only gave 2 stars because the non-slip, look and comfort until they break in and your feet slip around inside. People at Vans fix these shoes...they could be great...

I just bought these about a month ago and it felt really nice wearing them. Than about a month in to wearing the inside seems to be coming apart. There's like this white piece of cloth that I guess cover the shoes inside it's coming off. I also notice the rubber sole is coming off little bit also. If you have flat feet like me I don't recommend this for kitchen. wearing these my feet has now started getting hurt. I have a pair of old school and they still in good shape and my feet are fine. But these seems to be cheaply made. What's up Vans?

Shoes are not slip resistant, wore them 2 days at work and almost fell, they are dangerous. Would not recommend; also soles started to come off right away.

I love Vans because they are comfortable so I bought these for work. I have almost slipped & fell several times behind the bar. :(

I wear vans more than any other shoe, they are my go to shoe. I was so happy to see that they made some non slip work shoes. These are actually my 2nd pair, I thought I would give it another shot. Thought maybe the first bad pair was a fluke. They are definitely not non slip, at least in a kitchen. I have already slipped and fell twice. I'm so sad, but I would not recommend these to anyone in the restaurant industry. I ignored all the other bad reviews because I didn't want to believe them, i shouldve listened.

Honestly, whenever I got them they lasted me a few months but now I'm on the third month of having them and they're already ripping and tearing so honestly don't buy them probably the worst product I've ever bought from vans. I want to try to see if I can replace them because this is honestly the worst shoe that I've bought for them.

The other comments are accurate about the color being wrong. I expected the fabric to be black but they showed up as forest green.

The shoes arrived and the color is not black. Complicated to return. Wouldn't buy again.

I bought this pair of shoes before and wore them till they had holes i rebought them but this time they forgot to add the main part the nonslip

I have been buying these for years! Not only were these far from black, but for odd reason, within a month they stunk so bad i had to throw them away. Now I know what you're thinking, and no, my feet and shoes generally do not smell and that says something for a waiter on his feet 45 hours a week.... have tried everything to het rid of the stench, and ultimately it was the trash can that did the trick. I do not know what vans changed, but these are NOT black, NOT slip resistant, and capture and retain odors like there's no tomorrow. 0 out 5 stars

Im a mechanic and work around lots of different oils and greases. These "non slip" vans get worse traction then normal vans. Do not buy!

They don't work in a restaurant setting! Often times being even less effective than normal shoes.
