I love the shoe itself but definitely not as slip resistant as I wished. Not for working in a kitchen !

The product is labeled black/black/black and it is in fact not all black. Bought these specifically because they were labeled all black

I do like these shoes but they are wearing apart I'm the inside and I just had a little higher of hopes

Haven't even had these for 3 months and I'm already purchasing my second pair. For the price, I expect way better. I love van! I even wear my regular vans to work sometimes, but the soles are separating from the shoe & sometimes they aren't slip resistant. I manage a high volume restaurant so I love to look neat & clean. Only reason why I'm purchasing another pair.

Lasted for a few months then the sole literally ripped off the bottom- you can see the inside of the shoe now underneath.... I'm a server and work long shifts- when I bought this I was hoping I was done having to buy a new pair of work shoes every other month- especially with the price I paid for these. I own other pairs of vans and haven't had this issue. I love the way the shoes look but I'm upset they started falling apart. Not only the sole, but the side with the cloth started to show rips. Please fix this :(

These are made for kitchen workers and chefs, but they don't hold up long for a full time kitchen worker. Mine started to fall apart after 2 months.

Bought these back in Summer 2021, wanted to hold off on a review until they'd been put through the paces. Good quality shoe in all honesty, but the the inner sole needs to be replaced ASAP if you plan to wear them longer than 6 hours at a time on your feet. Within the first week, the outer rubber sole began to peel on the sides of the shoe near the toe, and then it started to peel at the heel. This caused some mild whistling noises on some surfaces or when wet, an irritation more than anything. The rest of the shoe held up well until about a month ago, when I noticed that the nonslip underside was beginning to tear, like it'd been gouged out or something; then, literally the day before I wrote this, the side of the shoe's liquid resistant fabric tore from the outer sole in a small patch. I honestly expected them to last longer at the price point they're at, but they're comfy, they work incredibly well, and they saved me from falling on my rear more times than I can count. I work in a restaurant as a bartender, and they grip on all but ice and tile humidity. Tl;dr I'd give a higher rating if they were a bit sturdier, but they do their job well and look fine doing it.

I like them but they're huge! I'm going to exchange for a full size smaller and see how that works out.

I had high hopes for these shoes. I cannot comment on the size, width or support, however, because I never really wore them. I barely got past lacing them up before I made a decision. I really like the design of the upper and vamp because of its different materials and textures, but the tongue has an odd design. It was secured on either side with elastic bands to underneath the insole. While this may (or may not) be a common design in Vans, I have not seen it in any of the 4 pairs I've owned in the past. Also, the tongue would scrunch up, with and without the laces routed through the lace lock. I returned them.

Shoes are decently comfy. If you’re flat footed I’d say you’d really enjoy the comfort. I do love the ease of cleaning the shoes. Everything basically wipes right off. However, I’m only one month in and the shoes are already falling apart. The soles are coming apart from the canvas. I’ve had shoes 1/4 the cost of these last longer

I got these shoes about a week ago and was stoked about the ultra Cush insoles. They look great, aesthetically pleasing, but they're way tighter than the shoes I normally wear. I ordered a 6.5 in women's, and have been wearing them for the past week hoping that breaking them in will loosen them up some, but within a few hours my feet ache. I need a half size bigger, but Vans doesn't do exchanges online. This is my favorite brand, but I'm super disappointed this time.

I have been wearing vans since the mid 80s and I hate these pair. They are comfortable but other than that feel so cheap, goofy long laces got caught up in my spokes. These ain't it! I'd have already pitched 'em if I hadn't paid a bill for them. Two stars is being generous because I love the brand.

I LOVE vansI own over 15 pairs, I know I'm obsessed. However, even through my love of vans, I have to say that this was the most disappointing purchase I've made. The picture sewn on the website makes you believe that it is black suede with a charcoal canvas material. It is far from that. The middle portion of the shoe is a dark hunter green that is clearly different than black or even a dark gray. The shoe should be listed as black/hunter green/black. I love the two-tone thought, however the color received is 100% not the color depicted on the website or described.

I bought these because they claimed to be slip resistant. I feel like they MIGHT have 20% more traction than a regular sole. These are definitely disappointing.

I'm a mechanic and bought these for their slip and oil resistance. 2 other coworkers also bought them at the same time. We averaged about 3.5 months before the shoes were trash. The outsole bubbled and peeled and the sole softened until it was uncomfortable. If they get the chemistry right on the composition, these would be great work shoes.

I got these shoes for work they are slip resistant but they look green instead of black and they aren't as comfortable even with the ultra cushion

I like the Sk8 Hi shoes and have been wearing these for over 40 years. They are super comfortable and provide great support. The only issue i had with these is that they were suppose to be Blk/Blk, but the canvas is really faded. I ordered these online and the picture looked like they were darker, but when i received them the canvas was almost green. I had taken these on a trip and had to wear them. So i would not recommend these particular models, but all the others are awesome, I have 4 other pairs of mostly black(I am a mechanic and any other color would not fair well!)

I mean, it looks fine ig, but it doesn't prevent you from slipping, if you work in a place where the flower is constantly wet, I wouldn't recommend these shoes, the durability of these are fine tho

These shoes are all black except for the sides which are a weird grayish looking color. Its too bad, because if it was black like its advertised to be they would be really nice shoes.

I am a server and need a hightop due to an ankle issue. I tried these since they were slip resistant and I tried to wear them for two shifts and my feet hurt so bad. They are much tighter and narrower than the other vans I have. Had to go back to my other vans that are not slip resistant. I gave two starts because the are very slip resistant just way to tight and narrow.

Bought these shoes back in December and for the first few months they were perfect until about a month ago when they started to hurt my pinky toes so so bad. I work as a bartender 5 nights a week and am required to wear non slip shoes so I was very excited to find something different other than the basic Sketchers, but have been disappointed that after 3 months they break down and hurt my feet.

They are comfortable while they actually hold together. I've had these shoes for less than 90 days and they are already separating from the sole. This is extremely disappointing. I am a chef of 18 years in the industry and have worn any and every chef shoe that you think of. I've had the cheap shoes for crews shoes last much longer than these. I picked these up because I wear vans on the daily outside of the kitchen and was looking for a more casual kitchen shoe. After this experience I'm going back to my Sanita clogs.

I bought these vans because I'm a chef. Although they are comfortable and do the job, they aren't durable. My inside heels are already ripping.

They aren't slip resistant. Any bit of water and I'm sliding and sliding. They are also not black as pictured. The middle part looks like a light/faded green on the black pair.
