I've been wearing these for about a year and am buying my second pair today. Bartending long shifts, walking a ton and going through the slippery kitchen. They look great and are as slip resistant as any ugly kitchen shoes I've ever tried. Here's why I need to write a review. On my way to work yesterday I went down hard on my motorcycle. Slid like 20 yards with a Harley on my leg. These shoes saved my feet and ankles! They are pretty shredded but they lasted long enough to keep my feet safe. I could've gotten a second year out of them if not for the wreck. A truly sturdy shoe that does everything I need it to.

Shoes were supposed to be all black. But are black with a dark green tint that almost looks black . Description says black/black . Either ways shoes are great and stylish for non slip

Bought these for safety working in a restaurant, they are comfortable, but definitely not skid proof! I actually slid and fell at home because our Sammy dog is a messy water drinker- At work, really slippery around corners, they are cute but I'm kinda bummed

Very bummed out about these. I had really high hopes. They have way too much give on the floor. You will slide around slightly which isn't good for going fast pace. I had to slow down because they slide as if the floor was greasy. I will be returning. I would definitely suggest the non-slip aspect of these to be reworked, if so I will try again in the future.

Owned these in the past, no problems. Replaced them recently and not sure what changed, but these are NOT slip resistant. Very disappointed.

As many other commenters have stated, I too work in a kitchen setting. I bought these without reading the reviews and the second the floors got wet I was sliding all over the place. They're comfortable, but I don't feel comfortable wearing them at work because it's a hazard. Do not get these if you work in a kitchen, bar or similar setting. Coworker mentioned slipping and hurting themself while wearing them but I did not know until after the fact

The canvas material is a faded greyish-blue color on arrival unlike the in the display pictures. I was sent home from my serving job because they weren't completely black. Image is a comparison to regular, black, sk8-his. I love vans and maybe this one was just a defect but I'm extremely disappointed, I was looking forward to wearing these but I can't justify the price just for casual wear, the color is kinda ugly anyway, and I need slip resistant shoes that are actually black for work.

I work at Starbucks so I thought these shoes would be great but no. I still slip on the job which is annoying. Floors can be wet because of spilled drinks/ milk or just after a mop and I always slip. I find myself walking extra slow with these shoes and not confident at all because I'm always scared of falling. For the price of these shoes I was expecting a better outcome. 0/10

I bought these for my job in a kitchen, I purchased them because I thought they were going to be none slip as advertised, but they were the complete opposite.

I wear these things to work almost every day. They're comfortable and they seem to last. They were on sale so I decided to stock up. Still plenty of wear left on my old ones though. I'll be getting the old schools when they come back in stock in my size.

I particularly love vans vans are the most comfortable shoe you could ever want I mean it they truly are I'm in to Sk8 high! Check out you can't go wrong

Bought these shoes for my son.He needed a slip resistant shoe for his job, he loves them,great arch support, slip resistant, and comfortable, I would buy these again.

I have had two pairs of these and they are very versatile. I wear them to work as a UPSer and out on daily activities. they offer the tight support for me and cushion. The style is to be matched with any outfit. I would recommend these to anyone.

I wanted a pair of shoes for work that looked really nice and match the style I like to wear that are also comfortable. Wore these shoes for over 3 years! Definitely recommend if you are thinking about buying these! Currently buying my second pair!

I've never had work shoes that are more supportive and comfortable. I've been wearing Vans since I was a kid, and these live up to the expected quality and then some. I wear these all the time, and work long high volume shifts as a bartender. I would definitely recommend more for FOH than BOH, they do great with regular liquid on wood/tile floors, but a kitchen where there may be more grease can get a little sketchy if you've worn the tread in already. A pair usually lasts me a year before they start falling apart with a cracked sole and the outer side tear near the base of the shoe. I am admittedly very rough on my shoes though, so that's an achievement in my book.

These are awesome shoes. Definitely buying them again!
