Customer Reviews SOREL Cate™ Cut Out

I have 2 pairs of sorels and ordered these along with 2 another pairs in my typical size 8. The 8 is a perfect size in all of the other styles but Strangely this one style runs about a half size larger than the rest. I would've given 5 stars except for the hassle of having to return for smaller size. At the minimum, if you're between sizes, size down.

I should have listened to the reviews, they are slightly narrower than a normal shoe. Loved the color and design. I hate having to send these back.

I love this bootie! It would have probably been perfect for me had it not been for the seam across the top. It hit me on the side, of the ball of my big toe and I knew it would rub. I thought about having them stretched, but decided against it. They are good leather and cushioning and I wanted to keep them, but didn't.

More narrow than typical Sorel, which makes it feel a little smaller. Very cute and goes well dressed up or down.

I love my Sorel's, but not this pair. These fit true to size for me. I'm normally a 7 in most shoes. In Sorel's I go between a 6.5 or 7. I have boney feet with a narrow heel. In the Lea wedge I wear a 6.5 and can wear a cushioned no show sock with them (side note, I really prefer the style of the Lea wedge to the updated Joan of Arctic wedge II Chelsea; I think I need to go up to a 7 in the updates style). In the Joan of Arctic wedge (again, the older style, which I prefer), I wear a 7, but have to wear thick wool socks with them & add a felt tongue pad. I took a 7 in this Cate Cut Out. These slip in the heel, which happens in all my Sorel's so I'm used to it. However, the cut out on these was too low to wear the cushioned no show socks and they would have been too loose to wear without socks. Also, they made my feet look huge compared to my other Joan's. Bummer, but we had to say good bye.

These fit great and are very comfortable. The problems for me are the leather-suede combo, which is much more pronounced in person than in the photos and the deep cut on the side, which make these feel unsteady to me. I think they'd be better if the cut out was at least an inch higher.

These boots are narrow at the front but loose in the back. When I walked around the house my heels kept slipping out. There was so much space that I could fit my index finger in the gaps at the back of boots without even touching my heels. I'm a size 7.5 and had to size up for the other 2 pairs of Sorel that I purchased to 8 and 8.5, so I ordered these boots in size 8 but they were too long. I guess it's best to buy your normal size and stretch them out over time. I ended up returning these boots because the front edges kept folding in and scratching my ankles.

Really like the pebbled leather on front of boot but the front upper does not conform to my foot and so the boot looks bigger and sloppier than I would like. Makes my ankles look big!
