These boots are very comfortable and great looking, I thought the heel would be too tall for me but that is not the case, I also really like the color variation on the heel. I have several other Sorel boots and all are extremely well made and comfortable to walk in, the soles are very stable, and quiet when you walk in them--I like quiet soles--they are non slip with a thick tread, great for this winter weather. I always order size 10 in Sorel boots, my usual shoe size is 9.5. My only slight complaint is why Sorel does not put zippers on boots more often, would make them quicker to get on if they did.

Love these—love the ruggedness. Comfort/extra interest to heel...works with jeans and casual skirts/leggings! So fun!

These are so cute and comfortable. I wear the Sorel wedges size 9 and these fit very similar. Stylish and practical for my urban Alaskan life :)

As many other reviewers have noted, these are seriously cute boots. I wanted something I could wear with ankle/cropped pants that would be nice enough for work, but also rugged enough for New England weather. These fit the bill perfectly. However, they're not the most comfortable boots I've owned; I ordered my usual size (8.5), and they're a tad tight across the ball of my foot, and a tad loose in the heel. They're also rather stiff. However, vanity triumphs over all, and I've decided they're comfortable enough to keep, since I don't plan to do a lot of walking in them. I'm hoping that they'll break in to conform more to my particular feet (somewhat long and narrow with high arches). Did I mention how cute they are?

Really love the style of these boots and the heel was perfect, very sturdy. Unfortunately, they were too narrow for my foot and I'm past the age of wanting to break in a boot for them to feel good. I had to return them.

Out of the box these were very comfortable, though since I only tried them on I can't say how they would feel after long wears. They are very substantial, pretty, and high quality leather. I was swayed to purchase these from other reviewers who stated, "I would never usually buy a heel, but..." This is true of me as well, but since so many customers were happy I thought I would give them a shot. I think they would be a very comfortable, snow-worthy choice, but after trying them on with a few outfits in my closet I decided they ultimately aren't my personal style. If you are someone who would like the idea of a heel but are worried it might be impractical, I think these are definitely worth a shot.

Style is beautiful, Runs small I think a full size. I usually wear size 7.5 but in this one I needed size 8.

I ultimately returned this for a similar style but just couldn't get past the chunky heel. Otherwise a pretty good looking shoe - as in I loved the look from the front, but it was too high/chunky of a stacked heel for me and from the side it felt a little too much for my personal style. Fairly comfy trying them on before returning - but a bit narrow in the toe box. The tongue also has two seams, one closer to the top of your foot that may be noticeable if in thin socks or the boots are particularly tight. MAJOR color is definitely more brown than the grey it appeared on my screen with the lighter colored sole/heel.

These look fantastic in photos, but were a no-go on me, sadly. The fit of the foot portion was the same for me as the regular Cate boot--fine through the forefoot, with ample room for thicker socks when I went up a half-size, and slippage in the heel area, which is par for the course with my bony heels. The reason I couldn't make them work has to do with the shaft; I'm very small-boned/slender, and although these lace up, they don't really cinch up any tighter... leaving an enormous gap between the top of the shaft and my ankle, which looked silly. (Interestingly, I don't have the same problem with the regular Cate, which has a side zip). For most women, however, that probably won't be an issue, so I can still easily recommend these. :)

I didn’t care for the feel of the water proof leather!! Felt and looked like synthetic leather. I don’t that if in time they would of softened a pit?! But they were also stiff to me and I felt like I could not lace them as tight as I wanted. Just my opinion hope it helps other people love them but they weren’t for me! I just ordered another pair of boots from Zappos. Customer service is great thanks!

i purchased these hoping to love them but unfortunately i did not! i really loved the look of the boot but when i received them i didn't like the feel of the leather at all. They are waterproof so i guess thats the reason! The leather felt stiff and almost synthetic. That being said i stared at them for a week and back they went. i just ordered the timberland sutherland...hope i like them!!

I usuallyt wear a size 11 shoe. Sometimes I'm on the wide size. I ordered a size 12 thinking that would take care of it but these boots are way too tight. Length was ok, but just narrow. They are beautiful though- I'm bummed they don't fit.

I LOVE the style of these shoes and was ecstatic when they arrived , until I put them on my feet. They were very uncomfortable There was NO footbed They were much too narrow in the heel I have smallish , narrow feet so I don’t know how they’d fit anyone else I also dont know how these boots got such great reviews. Don’t get me wrong , in style they are a 10 out of 10. But they were not comfortable

While the shoes are cute they are not for wide feet. I wore them in the house to see if maybe it would feel better and I couldn't keep them on for longer than an hour.

I walked around my condo with them on a the rubbed the outside ankle on right foot. Would have gotten a blister if I had been out with them. It's unfortunate because the left was perfect. Unfortunately they are going back

I was looking for a black combat boot style shoe forever and I love Sorel boots. It’s not boot season, but these were a steal! They’ll look great with black leggings in the fall and winter. I gave them four stars for comfort only because they feel a little stiff, but I imagine they’ll loosen up as they’re broken in. Fits true to size-I’m a size 7 and they fit great.

There are a lot of black boots out there to choose from. I needed a boot that can be worn several times a week year round and go the distance for the whole day and be comfortable. Read the other reviews and this boot was my choice. No regrets. I love that this boot does not click and make noise when I walk. It has the rubber sole, but it is not overdone like the Doc Martins; so while it is still casual and can also dress it up and bit.

Everything about these boots was great, loved the look, comfortable, nice leather; but I had to return them because the heel was a little too high due to my balance issues. Would highly recommend them.

These are amazing boots. A little extra heel height to make you feel a little more dressed up and a bit slimmer, without the foot pain of heels. Comfort all the way. Love’em??

So nice I bought them twice! Extremely comfortable, love the tread and they look awesome. It's winter in New Hampshire and we only have a little bit of snow and some icy patches, I wore these and didn't slip and my feet stayed warm. I wouldn't wear them in deep or heavy snow. And I did buy a second pair as a spare!
